I am going to be importing some listings using WP All Import into a site that I am transitioning from another Directory Theme. I was looking at using OpenStreetMap with it but I am wondering if I might have an issue with address location for the Map Pin if I use OSM vs using Google Maps. Do you have any thoughts or recommendations on this?

Note: I do have the Lat and Long that will be uploaded with the import.

Google is more accurate but costs more.
    Additional notes are here: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/integrations/google/#osm

If the address area already complete, then, I would recommend adding some new listings using both services to see how the addresses differ. USA data is generally more consistent but OSM coverage or data is not uniform in many ways. In fact Google can vary between countries, too.

    Thanks Alex,

What would happen do you think if I imported the listings with Google Maps to get the geo location for the map pin correct then switch over the OSM?

    Hi riobravomedia,

Thanks for your reply. Since both maps are not the same, yes, there will be some differences in the location.

    Thanks!
