Just a quick question, because I’m having a hard time finding the exact answer. I’ve used translation to change in the core language file and the multi ratings file a few terms that I want to be changed…still in English. That is English to English just changing words. Where do I put these files so that 1) they don’t get overridden and 2) they get picked up? Can’t seem to follow the documentation on that…and what I tried isn’t picking up. Thanks! Tim

Your modified PO and MO files should be in …/wp-content/languages/plugins/

    Thanks

Hmmm. Thanks, Guust. Is that all I need to do because it’s not picking them up. Do I need to put in any other changes to make it look there or pick up translations? No right?

Your PO and MO files are in the same language as your WordPress general settings?

If we need to have a look, post the following in a private reply:
    URL
    WP admin details
    FTP details
the strings you have problems with and the pages where we can see them.

    Thanks

Those seems to be language strings from WordPress. And I am guessing you have turned off Ratings.

If we need to have a look, post the following in a private reply:
    URL
    WP admin details
    FTP details

    Thanks

If that’s the case, then I need to find a way to change it only for the GD section…as I don’t want to change it for all ratings and comments, just for the GD related comments and ratings.

Thanks for your help. Unless you can give me guidance on some way to do this, thanks for your help.

If you are using ratings for listings, then you can change it using the core GD language file.

If we need to have a look at your settings, post the following in a private reply:
    URL
    WP admin details
    FTP details

    Thanks

That translation will only be used for every listing where comments AND ratings are turned on.
There’s no option to have a different translation for different listings or CPTs.

    Thanks
