Shortcodes not working

    Hey there GD team. So far loving GeoDirectory. Just ran into an issue as I’m trying to add widgets to sidebars. The shortcodes don’t seem to be working. Hoping you can help out. Attaching a screenshot and supplying backend login info in next message marked private. Cheers!

    But I am. If you look at my screen shot I used the method you are suggesting. There are two methods being used, one is with ‘amr Shortcode any widget’ and the other is direct placement of shortcode as you suggested. Neither are working.

    I see now. Those shortcodes will only work on an Event Detail page, or in a GD Archive Item template.
    The page you are editing has no idea what event you want to display the schedules of.
    Try a shortcode that is not dependent on a listing ID, like a directory map and you will see it will work.

    Add the shortcodes to the Archive Item, and then use a GD listings shortcode there for 5 events.

    So yes, directory map does show up.

    So what your saying is that I can’t display ‘Upcoming Events’ on the homepage? I definitely had that working, using a shortcode on GDv1 on the exact page I’m trying to get ‘Upcoming Events’ to show up on now.

    Not sure what I’m to do with the archive item as you mentioned above.

    Figured it out.

    I used shortcode GD>Listings.

    It did what I wanted, list the upcoming 5 events.

    The Event Schedule is for the schedule of one event.
