Hello,
I checked all the options, and I do not understand why, but the “GD Home Top Section” widget is displayed on all pages (eg: listing & detail pages).
Is this a bug or incompatibility with my theme? (Multi News is nevertheless compatible with GeoDirectory)
Thanks in advance for help
September 24, 2015 at 1:01 pm #54361That should not happen, GD Home is only for your location pages.
I guess you checked you have not added the same widgets to GD Listings Top section and GD Detail Top section?

Yes I have checked, my widgets “GD Listing Top Section” and “GD Detail Top Section” are empty.
September 24, 2015 at 5:38 pm #54399Hi,
please provide a link and admin credentials in a private reply (only staff can read them) and we will have a look. MultiNews author might have changed something recently.
Let us know,
Thanks

this was due to having the MultiNews COmpatibility plugin active. That plugin is no longer necessary. Compatibility is built in the GeoDirectory core.
Thanks
September 26, 2015 at 6:21 pm #54661Thank you paolo.
But this is unfortunate because since the compatibility plugin is disabled I noticed negative changes.
For example, the breadcrumb is no longer considered by the css of Multi News theme.
And even stranger, when I reload a page, a second background image appears briefly, as you can see here for example (valid for all pages of the site). Press F5 if you do not see it the first time.
This did not happen before, when the plugin was activated.
September 28, 2015 at 1:44 pm #54823Ok I was able to solve the problem concerning the background image.
But I want to know what change perform on the Multi News compatibility preset to retrieve the CSS customizations related breadcrumb. Which I recall, were available with the plugin compatibility MultiNews.
Thank you in advance.
September 28, 2015 at 11:36 pm #54954Hi,
I’ve just reinstalled the plugin to see what you mean and I can see some code related to breadcrumbs, but I can’t see breadcrumbs at all with the add-on installed on your website.
I’ll ask to Stiofan to verify if he can see what I can’t.
Thanks
September 29, 2015 at 12:48 am #54961Thanks for this paolo, but after your reinstall of the plugin I lost my translations (geodirectory-fr_FR.po), that were auto-deleted just after resinstall. Fortunately I do a backup of these two files this afternoon.
Moreover, I do not know what else you’ve done, but “GD Listing Top Section” sidebar has disappeared from the widgets?! How to reappear?
Here is also a screenshot to see before, what looked like the breadcrumb when the MultiNews Compatibility plugin was activated.
Now with the new Theme Compatibility option, CSS is no longer applied to the breadcrumb.September 29, 2015 at 1:42 pm #55004Did you save your translation file at the correct location,
/wp-content/languages/geodirectory/geodirectory-fr_FR.mo ?
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/translate-core/I added the top section at GD > design > listings
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-designBreadcrumbs seem fine to me:
/lieux/france/aquitaine/September 29, 2015 at 3:52 pm #550221) All my translations work, but:
– GD Core: the only place where the GD Core translation work well, it’s here: /wp-content/languages/plugins/geodirectory-fr_FR (.mo & .po)
– GD Addons: are localized on folders “xxx-languages” of each addon.I know that now, so I do backups, but when each update addons (via updates plugins Wordress), I confirm that my translations are automatically deleted. Is this a bug?
2) Thanks for this info, I did not think that add/remove automatically the widgets sidebars.
3) It’s strange, but you are right, now it works. Thanks!
September 29, 2015 at 4:53 pm #55028Hi,
2) addons translation files (only the mo file is really necessary) should go into their own folders within the languages folder: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/translating-addons/
Example for the Advance Search Filtersthe path would be: /wp-content/languages/geodiradvancesearch/geodiradvancesearch-en_US.mo
For the compatiblity problem Stiofan is alerted and will soon fix every problem.
Thanks
