Hi Guys
I just imported a bunch of listings after getting the coordinates, but what’s happening is that teh coordinates don’t seem to register unless I go into the listing and click the find on map button, which locates them precisely.I uploaded a lot at one time, but I’m not sure if I can just bulk locate them.
Thoughts?import worked with less, so I can always reimport.

October 26, 2015 at 9:57 am #58024Not quite sure what you mean. Are the listings not showing on the maps on the frontend, without publishing them? Can you post your WP admin details and your URL in a private reply, so we can have a look at your setup. And attach the copy of the CSV file too, if you don’t mind.
October 26, 2015 at 9:27 pm #58076Hi,
are you sure you entered the lat and long in the correct format in your CSV file?
Let us know,
Thanks
October 27, 2015 at 1:08 am #58106HI I’ll check the status, I thought it might just be that the database needs to update to accurately position the coordinates.
Let me see if it’s just an update issue.
MarkOctober 27, 2015 at 1:22 am #58107still doing it, here are some screen shots.
The only thing I wonder is if there might have been a space before the coordinates in the csv, but I did a few test files and it was fine. I just did a big batch in the end. While you guys look, I’ll look at the csv (which was done per spec, with open office calc).
If I need to refresh it, is it better to download the data and check it, so that the listing number stays good, or should I revise the initial file and re upload that?
This is very cool though, that I know how to basically create a directory now!!

Doing it for most cities, tried Boston, Atlanta, all same.Maybe I should download the current listings and see if anything obvious in the CSV.

October 27, 2015 at 1:46 am #58111It’s best to export and then re-import, that way you don’t create duplicate listings.
The fact that the new listings are all going in your default location, suggests that the coordinates were wrong.

MarkOctober 28, 2015 at 12:20 pm #58244Can you just cut a sample maybe.
I had a look at your admin area, and I can see that you have used inconsistent references to states, for example, you have used AL, Alabama and AL 36801. The system will treat those as 3 different regions.
I also see you have thousands of listings now and they seem to work just fine.
What is exactly the problem still?October 28, 2015 at 12:38 pm #58245This reply has been marked as private.October 28, 2015 at 1:31 pm #58249I would
1. Export all of them – no need to delete
2. Check all cities, regions and country in the CSV for consistency; they should be using the full name of the state and country, no abbreviations.
3. Re-import using the same post IDs
4. Filter your locations for abbreviations and delete those locations -
