I want to allow non logged in users to submit the add listing form. That means there should be no need for customers to register for adding their business. So how to remove the login?
November 3, 2015 at 7:53 pm #58928Hi,
it is not possible. WordPress require an authentication to allow submission in the database.
Allowing non registered users to write on your database would leave it open to hackers to even take control of your server.
Not really a good idea.
Thanks
November 4, 2015 at 3:30 am #58963As you mentioned it would be open to hackers without registration, I would consider the registration but then there is login problem. Upon registration the only mail received by the user is as follows:
You can log in with the following information:Your login Information :
Username: *****@gmail.com
Password: ***********
You can login here: loginThere is no activation link and the user is unable to login as well. So how to sort it?
It would be possible to remove registration and add recaptcha to the add listing form? Will it be still be open to hackers?
November 4, 2015 at 4:43 pm #59005Hi,
right after registration, users are normally logged in. I believe you must have a plugin that is messing up with registration.
It is not possible to register with a captcha or anything like that. The ONLY way is registration and login.
Thanks
November 5, 2015 at 8:09 am #59074I thought re-captcha addon might be useful in such condition.
Regarding login, I will try disabling some plugins and check it out.November 5, 2015 at 4:21 pm #59105Re-captcha is only used as a mean to verify that the user registering is a human being.
But the user still needs to register and authenticate himself.
Thanks
November 7, 2015 at 4:42 pm #59302Okay.
November 17, 2015 at 9:11 am #60535Google Captcha (reCAPTCHA) by BestWebSoft was causing problem and not allowing to login or reset password. Now I am able to login but there is no way to logout. How can I logout? How can I add logout button or link to logout?
November 17, 2015 at 4:53 pm #60583Hi,
the logout link is provided by the GD Loginbox widget. Just add it in your sidebars.
Thanks
November 17, 2015 at 5:05 pm #60587I forgot to add GD Loginbox widget!
It would be great to provide login link which would redirect to login page and once logged in login link would turn into logout. Is it possible?November 17, 2015 at 5:12 pm #60591Also is it possible to increase the height of the textbox as the text under textbox is not getting displayed properly.
November 17, 2015 at 5:50 pm #60599Even the form gets displayed incorrectly as in the attached margin. First few characters are beyond scope.
November 17, 2015 at 7:30 pm #60622For the login/logout link, that would require a customization. At the moment you can use the login box widget.
For the CSS problem, probably the theme is adding some styling where it shouldn’t.
If you provide a link and credentials we can provide the css to fix it.
Thanks
November 30, 2015 at 10:12 am #61941Text under textbox was not getting displayed properly. Now it has been fixed.
Regarding the form, First few characters are still beyond scope. It works fine on mobile but not on the computer.
November 30, 2015 at 3:30 pm #61992We’ll still need a link if you want us to check.
Let us know,
Thank you
