This is weird?
If I do a search for a place on my desktop, the correct results appear just find for the correct zip code.
However, then I repeat the same search on a mobile phone, I get no results found?
Is there a switch someplace I missed?
Thanks
November 10, 2015 at 5:09 pm #59550Hi,
that could happen if on your desktop you are searching everywhere and on your mobile you have a location selected.
Please provide a link and the example of search you are performing and we will confirm or not if that’s the problem.
Let us know,
Thanks
November 11, 2015 at 2:14 am #59636Go here:
Search for NTSOC in 80915 zip code.
I can do this search on both mobile and desktop and they return different results?
There are so many buttons, hoping I just missed something.
Thank you!

you only updated the core plugin, but all add-ons are outdated.
Also Whoop needs updating, it looks like you are still using the beta version 0.0.1 (which is not good for a live website)
That you will need to update via FTP as auto updates were not availalbe in the beta version.
Let us know how you went.
Thanks
November 11, 2015 at 11:19 pm #59775Ok, everything is updated, issue remains.
November 12, 2015 at 4:40 pm #59829Update:
IF I use Chrome, searches work fine on my desktop
IF I use FireFox, searches do not return any results? Same with Mobile Devices.
Everything is updated..
November 12, 2015 at 5:04 pm #59839Ok, after reading the change log and shutting down 90% of my plugins, I am came up with this:
Yoast SEO Local and Tiny MCE Advance, when active, screw with searches. I never saw because I was using Chrome and, from my view, everything functioned as it should, however, it impacted Mobile and FireFox searches.
Right now, searches are working ok.
With all the SEO changes you guys did, I understand their could be something funky with Yoast, but Tiny MCE?
Also, the change location button is available but when I click it, I get no option to change location?
AND, Last one, I am upgrading to a VPS soon, any suggestions? I’m using BlueHost and really do not want to change providers, is there anything I should be on the lookout for?
November 12, 2015 at 9:27 pm #59892Hi,
all the SEO addition we made, we made them making sure they are compatible with Yoast SEO plugin.
TinyMCE shouldn’t affect searches too.
I’ve asked to the developers to have a look at your website.
For the hosting provider, BlueHost vps should be a good solution. An alternative could be Cloudways, you can read more about it here: https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/topic/server-requirements/#post-50528
Avoid any kind of WordPress managed plans unless you are sure you can disable any kind of caching they provide. Most have dedicated caching system that can’t be disabled, that are not compatible with GD.
Thanks

I went through the GD tools yesterday and reset the version numbers, things seam to be working ok on both desktop and mobile.
Since you turned on MCE, Mobile search is not working?

November 14, 2015 at 12:17 pm #60130Hi, that’s good.
As for the errors, #1 seems to be the payment manager was not updated yet, maybe just a one off.
#2 might be that you had a custom field age_group and then deleted it but might still have it as a advanced search or sort option?Stiofan
