I lose my images when I export/import.sincerely,
cory
November 28, 2015 at 8:35 am #61788Images for new listings need to be uploaded by FTP:
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-export/#imagesIf you export your listings to re-import, you need to keep the reference to the images exactly as in the export file.
November 28, 2015 at 3:13 pm #61802I’ve never done this before. Do you know if there is a video tutorial somewhere? I don’t understand the process.
November 28, 2015 at 11:55 pm #61857All info should be at
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-export/#imagesWhat are you trying to achieve?
Or is it just the FTP process you are not familiar with?
https://www.siteground.com/tutorials/ftp/filezilla.htmSorry if I misunderstood, I am just not sure exactly what you have a problem with.

1. where do i save it. do i create this file? wp-content/uploads/2014/11
Also, in Setting – Media. There is no “organize my uploads in month and year “available.
November 29, 2015 at 9:47 pm #61896The wp-content/uploads/2014/11 is an example, if you upload the CSV file today, the correct folder will be wp-content/uploads/2015/11 [” … into the upload folder for the current month … ]
If you do not have the Media Settings in your WordPress setting, then post your URL and WP admin details so we can have a look, that is a normal WP setting and should be there. See image.
The correct folder should already be in your file system. See image.
You can also use the file manager of your hosting control panel.November 29, 2015 at 11:28 pm #61905I have 761 listings. and 5 pictures to each listing. I have approx. 3500 images.
Do I need to rename each one? Also, do I import the entire CSV file, will it overwrite
my lisitngs already imported. How do the images matchup with the listings already
imported?November 30, 2015 at 12:49 am #61906Do I need to rename each one?
They all need to have a unique name if they need to be uploaded to the same folder.
Also, do I import the entire CSV file, will it overwrite my listings already imported.
Read the section about post_id at https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-export/#import
How do the images match up with the listings already imported?
If you overwrite the existing listing [see above], and then upload the images to wp-content/uploads/2015/11 it should connect.
November 30, 2015 at 4:00 am #61911So. I did the following and still no good.
1. uploaded the csv file to wp-content/uploads/2015/11
2. each name is unique to the images.
3. I used the CSV file exported from another subdamin with Geodirectory,
and I used Open Office. So, the CSV file is uploaded and still nothing.
November 30, 2015 at 4:09 am #61912This reply has been marked as private.November 30, 2015 at 6:25 am #619151. The CSV file needs to be uploaded in your WP admin area: GD > Export/import.
Only the images need to be uploaded to wp-content/uploads/2015/113. Make sure all requirements are met: categories already exist, post_id column is empty etc
ZIP the CSV file, and also post your URL and WP admin details if you need us to have a look.
November 30, 2015 at 5:21 pm #620181. I uploaded the CSV file to GD – EXport/Import. It worked fine for the
listings. “no pictures”.2. What format do I upload the pictures? I looked at the “importing pictures”,
but I don’t understand.3. I’ve attached in image. Is this how I upload images?
November 30, 2015 at 5:23 pm #62021Please see attachment. Is this the format for uploading images?
November 30, 2015 at 5:32 pm #62026HI,
if these are new listings, you just need the file name, then the script will tell you where to upload the images via FTP.
Let me know if I misunderstood your question.
Thanks
