    Hi,

Pix3x was nice to mention a plugin that would allow me to adjust the way my categories are shown in Add listing. It involves adding a shortcode to the page.

Could you please tell me how to find these pages that have been created for my
custom post-types, such as ?listing_type=gd_place, etc.

I thought I was told in a previous thread that they were virtual pages but I don’t see them now (I can’t remember if I did something to change that). I thought they were there before but now I only have ‘listing preview’ and ‘listing success’.

    Thanks,

Hi Nasc, when I go to WordPress admin – Pages, I see [All / Published / Virtual]. I personally created a new page named “All Categories” with a MCTL shortcode and just add this page to my main menu. But you probably can add the same shortcode to any virtual GD generated page as well.

Thanks, I am looking to change the format of the categories listed on the Add listing page so members can see an orderly listing of all the possible technical categories and certifications, just like the format when you view
‘customize my search’ (great, I just noticed everything in all my sidebars is gone
and the search doesn’t show up on the top of the listing page, oh well).

Using Categories elsewhere on the site isn’t an issue yet.

If I can’t get the formatting to look like I want, I will just change the way
the categories are displayed, maybe a drop down or something. It just looks more
impressive to me with the entire list showing, and a lot easier to make sure you selected everything.

    Thanks for your help.

That’s not going to work for you.

Pix3x is talking about a plugin that hooks into wp_list_category. The list of catgeory available on your website.

While what you are looking for is CSS to arrange the list of catregories and checkboxes to select categories in your add listing page.

I can already tell you that you will not find a plugin to do that…

    Thx

@paolo, Thanks for saving me the time, I will just find someone to do it when the time comes, if I don’t decide to change to a drop down list or some other way to
    display them.

nasc, what about something like this: http://goldroo.net/sample-page/
That is what I use on my sites, it shows everybody all the differences, and the submit button goes straight to the correct submission form.
No coding required, just add a table to a page and add the correct link.

Yes, if you go to my site, select join off the menu, you get a pricing table, each selection goes to the corresponding Add listing page.

The issue is, once you get there, you have a question such as ‘technical category’ that has a large number of check boxes going down vertically, even more when they get to select the Technical certifications and I still have many more to add.

    Thanks
