Add Listing Goes Back to Homepage

    Hi Guys,

    When I tried to add a listing (within the Portuguese translated version of the site), it brought me back to the English translated one.(Homepage)

    Did i miss some setting?

    not sure if this is the cause of the redirection. I translated ALL PAGES including the GD Pages
    but it broke the PAGES e.g LOGIN, LISTING SUCCESS etc..

    then i saw all required pages became broken.

    then i went to GD TOOLS > ran a GD pages check and fixed them

    GD Home page is missing.
    –>FIXED: GD Home page fixed
    Add Listing page exists with proper setting.
    Listing Preview page is missing.
    –>FIXED: Listing Preview page fixed
    Listing Success page is missing.
    –>FIXED: Listing Success page fixed
    Info page is missing.
    –>FIXED: Info page fixed
    Login page is missing.
    –>FIXED: Login page fixed
    Location page is missing.
    –>FIXED: Location page fixed
    GD Checkout page exists with proper setting.
    Manage Invoices page exists with proper setting.

    After fixing the pages, the translation of those pages are gone.

    What am i going to do?

    Make sure all GD pages are there.
    Translate all your pages.
    Then go to GD Permalinks, and make sure all English versions are connected with WPML in English mode.
    Then change to Portuguese mode and connect all Portuguese pages.

    You also need to translate CPTs and categories.

    Hi Guust,

    I translated ALL PAGES, i have come with some issues.

    1. when i set the geopages in ENGLISH, the geopages in portugues goes back to none http://prntscr.com/9q8yjw vice versa, when i set the geopages in Portuguese, the geopages in EN goes back to none.

    2. the permalinks has -2 in it. (mysite.com/permailnk-2) .. i had made sure that the Trash is empty (both languages)

    Hello,

    #1. The GD Permalinks page should ONLY be saved on the default language, saving it while in another language will break everything, it automatically knows to get the translation from the english ID. Your login button at the top right i am not sure how you are adding it but it is not dynamic, i have aded a login widget to your footer section as an example to show that the login page will change link to the Brasil one when in that language.

    #2 Change the permalink to the translated text.

    @netbrasil Apologies, mate 🙁 Got that one wrong, that’s how it worked on my test site, or at least seemed to worked. Luckily we got Stiofan to correct me. Sorry again.

    no worries Guust,

    @stiofan, not sure about that login…

    let’s say i’m already registered and wants to add a listing (brazilian language)

    then i click one of the listings located in the menu (ADD A LISTING), it brings me back to the ENGLISH version homepage… and i wouldnt understand English

    i just want to be able to add a listing w/o redirecting to the english version.

    Hi,

    did you correct what Stiofan pointed out? If you are visiting the brazilian version and click on add-listing, you should be taken to the brazilian form (if you created the add-listing page translation.

    Hi Guys,

    I did it! I overlooked Stiofan #2 instruction.

    Somehow pt-br/add-list goes back to the homepage, but when i changed it into pt-br/adicionar-lista it worked! and i was able to add a listing via brazilian version

    Thank you so much guys!! It’s almost / near completion!
