    Hi

I’m trying to create 4 x category search pages for my directory using shortcodes. Only 1 of the shortcodes from your ‘Core Shortcodes’ seems to work on the website. For example I have Restaurants, Hotels, Weddings, Travel and Gifts. I would like each of them to have their own category search page. Then in the sidebar the user can search all categories. I cant get the sidebar widget to work for some reason either. Please can you advise me on the best way to create the pages and sidebar.

    Thank you

I guess you are referring to a code like this:

    [gd_listings post_type="gd_place" layout="3" category="1,3" post_number="10" list_sort="high_review"]

You do not have any categories with those IDs, look in the last column at
    /wp-admin/edit-tags.php?taxonomy=gd_placecategory&post_type=gd_place

Or you could use this page: /places/restaurants/

Your sidebars on the GD pages all seem to work fine.

For sidebars on your theme pages, I suggest to contact the theme developer or their documentation.

    Hi,

please go to GeoDirectory >> Theme Compatibility.

    Select “Custom” and add:

    gd_wrapper

into the “ID” field of the “geodir_wrapper_open” hook.

    td-container

into the “class” field of the “geodir_wrapper_open” hook.

    and save.

    See image attached.

There still be some CSS to tweak to make it perfect, but that should point you in the right direction.

    Let us know,

    Thanks
