Yes, pages are all translated
Hi Alex,
This still sound like a bug and not an enhacement.
I have disabled the hyperlink so that it doesn’t affect my users, but here and there I still get problems with location not being fixed.
I have it now on the WPML language bar.
See here:
https://www.parentland.pt/location/coimbra/
And try the language flags (they go to /location)Thanks
Right – that’s clear.
The issue is really with the location page and the category icons below the search bar – for example https://www.parentland.pt/location/porto/.
The URLs from the icons change when toggling the CPT using the CPT selector (see img1.png – on page load, good behavior, URL correct and img2.png – after toggling the CPT, URL lost location)
Not sure I understand.
All my CPTs have location enabled. The behavior of changing CPT through the selector seems to be failing. Again back to my example, initially the location is set on the (category icon) link, if changing to a different CPT and back to the initial one through the CPT selector, location is lost on the link. This reply has been marked as private.Yes, I have hidden the category selector. But the category icons which show under the search bar on Supreme Directory are what I am referring to. They are not keeping location set after switching CPT on the CPT selector. Does seem like a bug.
As for geolocation, them problem is that if I use the Near Me button the location is not fixed (as you mentioned before) so it is awkward for the user that geolocates but this is not kept…
Ok, I see. It’s a pity that location can’t be set from automatic geolocation (GPS). Is this technically not viable for a future update?
Ideally there would be an automatic geolocation on homepage load, or user could manually choose other location. In the meantime, the current solution doesn’t seem to be working well. When I choose a location, the category icons do show the category/ABC/location, but when I use the CPT selector and change the CPT, the category icons loose location.
Please check here: https://www.parentland.pt/location/porto/
and change the CPT selectorIf I understand correctly, when I use the “Near Me” feature, I am redirected to a page which has no location set, right?
My page is https://www.parentland.pt
Sounds far from ideal to my use case, as I wish my users would be able to just set a location near them and start from there. What is the expected user journey otherwise? To use the search bar all the way (CPT+category+near)?
Hi,
It works and the location urls are persistent if I set a location manually (i.e. region/city) but not when geolocated via browser (GPS coordinates e.g. location/near/me/38.766714799999995,-9.3794233/)
Hi,
Is there any update on this?
Thanks,
