Hi Guust,

I take your point for sure…. but I think inquiries are a great way of both me and my customers keeping track of the performance of their adverts. If I call them up for renewal at the end of the year and am able to see (and they are able to see) that they had 50 inquiries then it’s much better…phone enquiries are much harder to track.

Depends on the service offering I guess….. not sure many people would email a restaurant for example for a booking as it’s a much more immediate service than my own offering… which is daycare/childcare services.

I had thought of that… but email should be mandatory as if it’s not… people will leave it out… which is of course going to cause problems with the advert.

Hi Guust,

Appreciate the reply. I see them now too… at the bottom of the filter options.

Just when you say “changing the drop down menu in the search widget does not work.” – what does this mean as I can’t fully work it out?

Thanks for that…I normally search and try to keep both my contributions and questions exact….but sometimes we don’t always find the exact information in search.

Thanks… looking forward to hearing.
I am not going to upgrade yet as I have made changes to file that will get overwritten. I keep everything in source code control so that after upgrade I can merge my (well commented) changes back into the release code on my website and I don;t have time to do it. Site is pretty up to date though.

The fact that you get the same on my test site now is good in that it should be fixable there too and not something I have done.

I see there is a gd_place_category but I can not see where the actual categories are stored…. as in what category name matches what category ID

Correction: It does not work for Custom Post Type either actually.

I should also say that “show on detail” and “show on listing” options for the category don’t work either…. for GDPlace or custom post type

Hey Paolo,

Translations are overwritten with an upgrade I thought…. I know you can just replace the MO file back in again (assuming no new translations have been added).

When you say core file, what do you mean? I thought all modifications that people do are to core files? Examples of files I have changed along the way are:

geodir_payment_functions.php
listing-listview.php
geodir_avada_compatibility.php
geodir-signup.php
general_functions.php

etc

Are these considered core?
