Hi @Simone,
The 5th listing is another category: not sights but attractions. So it is not a sub/child category of sights…
Do you think the that sub category markers on that map can be changed with some code? I really think it makes the user experience of the website much better….
Cheers, Jan
@guust: Yes, everything is working fine.
I just noticed the error, so best is to have that fixed – isn’t it? 😉Cheers & THX, Jan
Hi @guust,
I changed every checkobs=x into a select field.
But when I use the advanced Search options I get a database error:
Unknown column ‘wp_geodir_gd_hostels_detail.geodir_hostellockers’ in ‘where clause’ in my wp-admin (checked with the query monitor plugin)please advise….
The selection I made was on this page: http://www.amsterdamtourist.info/hostels/?geodir_search=1&stype=gd_hostels&s=+&snear=&sgeodir_area%5B%5D=&sgeo_lat=&sgeo_lon=
Cheers, Jan
Great! 😉
Thx, JanThx for explaining the select field.
It worked as you stated.
I just have to think about it if I will use the select option or radio buttons.There is one issue with the selcet field: when used in the advanced search selection it gives the “Question for the user” and not as it supposed to be (I think) an “answer for the visitor”. I think it’s a bug…
Cheers, Jan
Hi @Simone,
Still no luck with the Select custom field, but I managed to do it with radio buttons. Only problem I might have is with advanced search options…. Or can I still use the filter as well when I use the radio buttons?
Cheers, Jan
@Simone,
Mmmmm That’s a pitty and strange….
But I tried the option you mentioned with the Select custom field, but it’s no working for me…I tried everything
Yes/1,No/0
Yes/0,No/0
Yes/1,No/1But I only get or Value = 0 or nothing…
Hi @Simone,
Do you mean that the checkbox field does not work properly and I should use something else? Is this a bug?
Jan
@stiofan -THX!
Hi @Simone,
Sorry, I wasn’t clear enough I think.
The category tags are now being displayed on detail pages (so that’s good!), but because you mentioned “so are you planning to show the category not on the detail page, but where all the listings are listed, right?” I thought you might deleted the category tags on detail pages in the attached code…
I wanted them on listing pages as well… So I will try the code later today.
Cheers, Jan
@Simone
Thx for the answer. I will give it a try…..But, I still want the category to be displayed on the detail page, so both on detail page and on listings page (for your information: I have category 5 star hotels to 1 star hotels and I want this star-rating category on the listings page of all hotels (=CPT); this is better for my visitors when they are viewing the all hotels listing page…
Can I still use the same code?
Cheers, Jan
