Thank you Alex!
I discovered that I need to manually set add_location_filter to 0
Thank you Kiran,
So did you check with the developers?
I was under the impression this would be possible with v2, the basic of our concept is based on choosing category first then city under that categoryThanks!
Thank you Guust,
But it works so nice with the /cpt/category/city/ -structure in V2
Is there really no way to filter out links to cities for a certain category ?
…for our purpose it makes much more sense choosing cpt/category first then choosing cityThanks!
Thank you,
I have placed a GD > Locations -widget in the GD Sidebar but from what I can tell it shows all cities independent of the category? When a category is clicked we like to show only cities that have upcoming events under that category (with links leading to event list for that category+city example /category/music/stockholm/ ).
There is a checkbox in the widget “Disable location filter?” that I have not checked but it does not seem to have any effect? Thanks!
Thank you!
What was the problem?
…when I have clicked a category, how can I list cities that are available under that category? for example all cities that has upcoming shows under the music-category…clicking a city will list all music-events from that city
Thanks!

Can’t believe I missed that 😉Can we have both category + subcategory in permalinks?
Thanks!
Thank you Guust and Paolo, child-theme-generator -plugin worked nicely!
Thank you Alex, that looks great!
Thank you for sharing your story ukvape, very interesting and you have some great points!
Did you start the Facebook group before launching the Geodirectory site?
We are aiming to launch a Geodirectory site soon but are approaching from a different angle.
We want to gather events and press releases/news from a niched business.
Mostly these are small companies that sometimes don´t even have a website.
Our plan is to make it as quick and simple as possible, no images, no reviews, no comments…
The unique value will be to find an overview of what´s new + local events for each city.
We plan to make it profitable from relevant advertisers and later premium listing/services perhaps RFP.
I do think a Facebook group would be a great complement but sort of hope that it will not be necessary 😉Paulo, your blogpost was great I had missed that one. Thanks!
