Did you update GDV2 core today? Let us know if that address any of your issues.
We can take a look at your site and get these issues sorted one by one. To allow us to take a look, please write back with a private reply and include WP Admin credentials and login URL so we can check the settings.
1. Sidebars – these are controlled by the theme and the page template. Some notes about that here: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/geodirectory/page-design/#page-template
Adjust the settings in the GD Design tab to choose the templates available from your theme until you find one you like.9. Search – We can take a look at that. Make sure all your listings have categories.

Only the tags shown on the toolbar have been deemed safe and allowed past the filter. Everything else is stripped out.

Listing pages can be sorted and have sorting options. You can find those options in GD – Places Settings – Sorting
You can choose options there that will be made available in the sorting options.

GDv1 shows search results on a custom page template that is not a ‘page’ page, it is created by GD specifically to show the results.
You can add content to that page by adding widgets to the GD Search widget area.
GDV2 allows you to edit the content of a search page, adding text or other content above and below the search results.

there is a fix coming out for this, as soon as possible. Should be out tomorrow.
Once you update the theme, let us know if the issue comes back.
That isn’t possible without a customization in V1.
GDV2 does show the listings count in the user screen.
