I noticed that Kaplan doesn’t have a category, which is required.
I published a test listing and was able to edit it.

Are you saying there is an issue with paging? What is the issue, exactly?

right, the icons should not change size with zoom of the map, so that may be cache.
Recommended size is between 30-50px, I use the dimensions of the icons offered through this site, myself:

Can you share a screenshot of what you mean by ‘avatar image’, not sure about that.

no, the background image is not a slider by itself. You will need another theme and other plugins to make that happen.

your idea to import the text sounds correct, and let us know if there are other special requirements for the ‘place saver’ text, which I am not familiar with.
About limiting the icons, it sounds like you already know about the options available?
Both options are at:
GeoDirectory – Design – Map
The first is to not show certain categories from the Home map only –
Select category to untick by default on mapThis option might be best for you, because it will only take effect on the Home Map, but not effect the Listings map, and will only untick the categories as opposed to hiding them completely.
The other option at the bottom hides them completely from all the maps.
At this point it looks like you don’t yet have categories created. Create those and try out the options and let us know what you think.

Category is required (WordPress requirement) so please do that and let us know how it goes.
