In the first example address you provided, just doing a quick look at Google Maps, it doesn’t like that address. It’ll find Ipswitch Rd. and Colchester, but those others aren’t ‘fixable’ if Google doesn’t have the information.

If, after entering the address (Ipswitch Road, Colchester) you drag the map pin and find the zip code is not as expected, again, this is Google’s information.

You have two settings in Multilocations at your service:

    GD > Multilocations

Disable set address on map from changing address fields -> This might help with your changing zipcode issue, if that is happening before you drag the pin.

Disable move map pin from changing address fields -> this will help if you really want to keep the address you wrote, and don’t want the pin position change to update the address.

In either case, I recommend you try using the option to allow Google autocomplete. (
    Disable Google address autocomplete? UNCHECK)

It is just like the test I just did, going to Google to see if Google has the data you are looking for. If they don’t your autocomplete won’t autocomplete and that can give you some more immediate feedback about the location.

About your categories, GD has location pages built in. There is a page created for every county of every listing you enter, automatically, and a way to link to those pages. I think the way you are doing might have some benefits? But it will be much harder to maintain than using the GD built in features.

Hope that helps, and if you run across another example where those options are working for you, let us know and we can take another look.

    Hello again,

are you putting that all in the ‘street’ field?

in some cases you might need to fill in the other fields, like, add the zip to the zip field.

    That could be the case.

You can install the email log plugin to get a record of your emails. If you find an issue, let us know what it is and we can advise.

Your copy of the email, the admin bcc copy, will not contain the password. It isn’t really a copy, in that way.

    When you register, what happens?

    Hello!

Please check the widget in question to be sure you have set it to filter by upcoming.

There are two options, sort by, and filter by. Filter by will make sure your past events don’t show.

If it isn’t working, write back with the info we need to check it out.

The limit applies to what is shown, not what is input.

You want to ‘remove’ the description field completely for free packages?

The developers can let us know if there is a way to alter this page, but I will share from experience that this page is going to change a lot with V2.

    Hello,

Can you give an example of an address that failed?

Please make sure all your plugins are up to date.

Adding locations as tags may work better for you than categories if you plan to show the locations on the map.

OK, maybe it’s better to go a different way.

You can try GD Features: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/widgets/#features

If you used category, You could make a custom page with two GD Listings widgets,

one for fysiotherpists and one orthopeeds each with a category for specialty

    doctor-specialty
    – doctor specialty kids

    or you could make

    – practice
    – ortho
    – fysio
    – specialty
    – kids
    – seniors
    – athletes

take a look at GD listings and think about the options. Tags are great, too, if you are willing to go in and add/manage them yourself.

You can definitely create a custom field.

We would recommend you use the main address/map features for where the visitor ought show up.

    Hello!

I will flag this for Stiofan. I just wanted to add, I think I thought I posted it to your other thread.

    https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Tag:boundary=administrative#10_admin_level_values_for_specific_countries

That is the ‘general rules’ for how addresses are written into OSM. Folks in OSM DE are the ones doing it or not doing it. It is fine to reference Wikipedia, just pointing out that OSM has their own book there, too.
