    Hello,

What did you guys do to fix this.

Lists tab, notifications, events, my invoices, settings all have:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function bp_is_user_forums() in /home/public_html/wp-content/themes/GeoDirectory_whoop/buddypress/members/single/home.php on line 83

Do I need to disable forum integration?

    Thank you,

    Brett

How will the new google maps api affect this map? I won’t be setting up a billing profile with google. I don’t believe we should have to give them a credit card for the free $200 worth of google maps.

    Thanks again guys.

I will be trying out open street maps. Want to see how that works. Always good to have options anyways.

Thanks guys for the quick responses. I’m going to go a little negative on this for a minute.

Yes, I am a little paranoid, I will get that out right off the bat. I know this was an issue back in the day and I’m sure it still goes on today.

What will stop “dark google” “contractors” “not associated to google types but really associated” to write bots to hit our geo sites and others to load these maps over and over again to rack up our costs????

We already have bots spamming our sites, trying to sign up, trying to modify the admin accounts. I’m 99.9% positive this will happen.

    This just all around sucks.

I really appreciate you guys getting on top of this and that is why I love geodirectory. I hope we can all find a reasonable solutions. Too much is changing too fast. 🙁

    Thanks Guust,

I read some more about it. They want us all to setup an account probably with a credit card to bill us if we go over 200. I’m not sure how that will be measured. All I know is I have a bad experience with google adwords years ago, at .10 cents a click I blew through 800 dollars within minutes. No thank you!

Yes I will be switching to something else or not using google maps at all. It’s a nice feature but it’s not needed to dish info to our customers. Maybe if my site can make lots of money it would be worth paying more for these things. But as one charges so will another, then another. I wish I could get residuals from google selling my life’s info over and over. I would probably not need to make websites anymore. LOL

OK thank you Alex. is there a way to limit the word count on reviews. I’m not seeing it anywhere in the backend.

GDPR Jeez, good thing my site is not going to be in the EU. I believe Trump will sign sesta. If you look at all the googles, youtubes, amazon, twitter, facebooks, they have been preparing the last few weeks. I almost think this is solely reason why they are purging peoples accounts, not just for fake news but to get ready for this law.

I could be wrong. I will wait and see. Hopefully it’s nothing for us. I guess it took me by surprise. I just don’t have time to keep on top of all these laws within laws.

    Thanks for the posts guys
