Ok Thank you.
This reply has been marked as private.Yes, I’m using the latest 1.1.0 but child theme is 1.0.0 Which is weird since I downloaded and installed them same time.
The only thing I changed was the font and font size for the links.
This reply has been marked as private. That is great actually. I want admin only to delete profiles. Because if a business gets listed and they get negative reviews I don’t want them to delete that profile and set up a new one with no reviews.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Let me ask this:
The only place I see to delete is in “my dashboard” under “my listings” I removed those links in navigation.
Question: is there any other place I can get to that page now? If I make it hard for users to find a delete button this could work?
Let me know if there are other ways to find this delete account area. So far I can’t find any.
Thank you!
Hello,
Is there away to disable the delete link for authors via css until more access control is developed? I would only want admins to be able to delete listings. Because if for my directory, if they get bad ratings I don’t want them to be able to delete their profile if they are not a good place.
Thank you!
Thanks for the info:
We will be using GD primary, forum secondary, and buddypress last. GD is the most important.
Our server specs are:
2 cores
4.5 GB Ram
90 GB Disk Space
400 mbps xfer speedWe can upgrade it all the way up to
5 cores and 15gb RAM until we need a dedicated server.I would just like to get this directory going and paying for itself before I go crazy with servers 😉
Thank you for all your help,
Brett
Yes, site is working really well. License keys installed.
I only noticed the site loads slow, the search seems to load last. It took over 10 seconds to load and I haven’t even started to input data. I just have dummy data.
I want to keep this site as lean as possible, I know I have a lot of plugins related to GD.
Also, a quick question:
I See in my WHM to upgrade mysql to mariaDB, I see other LEMP upgrades.
Do you think it is worth pursuing the host and switching to NGINX. I’m not a server person so I’m not sure how that complicates wordpress. I don’t want to screw everything up.

I switched my site to a VPS. I was able to activate my license keys.
The site seems to load slower. It runs Apache not Nginx. I ran a test and seems like its slow loading javascript.
I don’t have gdbooster running while I’m developing the site. Do you guys recommend and type of js shrinkers?
I’m sure there are some other things I could do server side to optimize resources but I would just like to spend my time setting up this awesome directory.
Thanks again for your help.
Brett
