Paolo I’m talking about on here:
*Stiofan (sorry auto correct)
Sorry Stiffen could you explain again please?
What do i need to change? I don’t know where the category limits are…
ok wil do this now, thank you for the link 🙂
ok no worries thank you for the reply anyway 🙂
oh,
is there noway of getting the main map to show them all to start with? any code that can be modded/added?
yes you’re right, the main “popular places” is the same “Popular Post View Widget”, but being on the landing page of the main site, this shouldn’t be narrowed down to just 1 post type it should really take into consideration all of them, is there anyway of making it dow this? or do you have a widget plugin for this?… customers will moan at me otherwise…. i do understand about load speed, but i can’t see that having a huge effect, the feature is way too restricted.
i think having multiple “Popular Post View Widgets” would effect load speed of a site more than having just 1 that can be set to “all post types” …. so whoever thought of this for load speed is wrong.
Ok so a widget is desperately desperately needed that can:
– display multiple chosen post types.
– display multiple chosen categories from multiple chosen post types.this is a vital widget that is missing, and would probably not take you guys long to modify the “Popular Post View Widget” into a widget that can do this.
Oh yay! I could have actually found something useful and helpful then! 😀 I feel like I’m apart of the team lol
When you find an answer/fix for this, could I be updated? because knowing the people in the area I’m aiming towards, lots of people will be asking me about it… and the site is due to launch in about 10 days :O 🙂 … I might put it back to the end of the month.
Thank you loads,
David
The menu is also affected with this…
for example: even though it is in the categories “Psychological” and “Well Being”, it is only showing up in the default category “Psychological” if i click on “Psychological” in the menu
But if i click on “Well Being” in the menu, its not showing up at all even though it is in that category.
Hmmm i think i might merge a couple of questions into this post, as they’re fairly relative issues.
Ok so my original post stands the same, to have a featured section that isn’t tied to 1 specific “post type”
also, I’ve just noticed that the main “popular places” on the homepage is also just tied into 1 specific post type, how can i change this to “all”
and the google map on the homepage also starts off as 1 specific “post type” how can i change this to just display “all” until someone selects a “post type”
Thanks
David

I’d forgotten to replay to this a while ago,
but it worked great thank you paolo
Yessssss 😀

This reply has been marked as private.Perfect thank you,

I’ve check out your link, and it appears to be a miss-mash of all kinds of info that im not sure which is correct,
I’ve tried a few things in the custom css but nothing changes,
where am i supposed to be making any changes?
Is there really no simple way of utilising that large blank space besides filling it with a colour?! No option for a banner to be there or anything?
