Thank you for getting back with me. Would I need to update the main plugin and all the addons?
Hello,
I am getting the same error as others when trying to update my plugins.
1. I just renewed my membership date: 2/6/2016
2. However, the instructions above are not correct for me. My Profile> Profile Edit> has nothing but my contact info. No OLD LICENSE KEY. In any case i found it in the email asking me to renew my membership.
3. I input my OLD LICENSE KEY. Nothing happens. I did read in the user messages below that the new license screen will appear when I update a plugin. I tried to update a plugin and this error appeared: “Update Failed: Plugin update failed.” AND
An error occurred while updating GeoDirectory Events: Login details for GeoDirectory failed! Please check GeoDirectory > Auto Updates and that your membership is active. PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10) : Unable to find End of Central Dir Record signature
4. To check the active status of the license key, I went to: My Accounts > Purchase History > View Licenses and added that key (which I believe is the same). I am still getting the same error above.
5. Also, Under Purchase History > Manage Sites, I added my site but I am still getting the same error.
Yes, I have logged out and back in to Geodirectory, My Account…but no change.
What could be the issue?

Hi. We would rather not modify the plugin files as doing so would obviously be overwritten by any plugin update. Is there not a hook or filter we can use to modify the output of the description?
As per http://paste.ofcode.org/4vmSUUZig7hA4A66YCtFVz This adds a filter to “the_content” when its displayed in an rss and the post type is gd_event. This works on normal posts and in other custom post types.
This should also work if geo directory was using the content to display the rss feed, which it appears to not be doing. What field is geodirectory using to display the content and how can we add a filter to add the content we want?

Thank you for the response. We are trying to do this by hooking the feed creation rather than changing any files that would be written over when the plugin is updated. Would you be able to provide the hook so that we could accomplish this, please.
I am looking for a way to include listings that don’t have a physical location but offer the same service. The only way is to create a separate cpt?

Thanks for a quick response. I added one category with the same name but the slug was different (eg. category-1), which seems to indicate that it is a new category. The end result that I would like is that when a user clicks on a certain category that my cpt and the default posts are together in the same category. I thought I could just make the category-1 a subcategory of and category but I can’t seem to do that either.
