Hello Paolo,
Thanks for the follow up. Interestingly, the problem vanished. I disabled a few plugins that should have had no impact – Add Shortcodes Actions And Filters, Display Widgets and Easy Theme and Plugin Upgrades – and the problem was no longer there.
Unfortunately, I did not check the map this morning before I disabled the plugins, so I cannot be assured that they are actually responsible for clearing the issue. When I re-enabled them, the problem was still gone.
Should the issue be seen again, I’ll experiment with the plugins as you suggested before I reach out for support.
Best Regards,
Edward

Thank you for your follow up. I found the solution. The “From” address used in the “Listing Published Successfully” notification is taken from the User email address of the administrator that creates the new place. I changed this and everything now works as it should.
Best Regards,
Edward
Hello Paolo,
Thank you for your follow up. As I mentioned in my original message “The WP general settings for email is [email protected].” (‘scuse – original text had .net instead of .info) I’ve already done what you suggest and it has no impact.
Any other ideas where to look?
Best Regards,
Edward
BTW – the Reply To address IS changed to [email protected]. It is the To address that is not changing.
Okay – I found my problem – the Google Maps API key had to be updated to allow the new domain name. So many details…
Best Regards,
Edward
One additional note – I did change the domain name from ar-universe.net to ar-intelligence.info. Could that somehow have led to this problem?
Many thanks
Edward
Thanks for getting back to me. It must have been my misunderstanding somewhere. I am no longer able to reproduce the issue. Should I experience it again, I’ll try the anonymous browser as you suggest.
Best Regards,
Edward
Much better! Thank you. Shouldn’t something like that be the default setting?
Hello Kor,
Thank you for getting back to me so quickly. I’ve made the modification as suggested, however it doesn’t appear to have changed anything.
Any idea what I am missing?
Many thanks!
Edward
Magical!! Thank you! I’ll do my best not to hose the site again….
Best Regards,
Edward
Hello Stiofan,
Sorry to bother you again but I have had to re-install my site and need to ask that you re-apply the patch you had done. Interestingly, I am now getting a new error message:
>The http://www.ar-universe.net page isn’t working
>
>www.ar-universe.net is currently unable to handle this request.
>HTTP ERROR 500All login information is the same as previously.
Or – you can tell me what needs to be done and I can take care of things.
Many thanks for your help!
Edward
Hello Paolo,
We can go ahead and close this case. I loaded the Events Manager plug-in from WP Events and did a reset via the admin panel – which magically cleared out the problem I was having with the 404 error.
Thanks again for your help!
Edward
Hello Paolo,
After I sent the last message I began experimenting with a different event tool. This also, not surprisingly, has a page called Events. I deleted the Events page I had manually created to minimise any possible confusion.
Best Regards,
Edward
