Thank you, that looks like it might help 🙂
This reply has been marked as private.Okay, I figured it out. Go to GD > Custom Post Types.
Select “edit” and change the sort order under the advanced tab.Thank you 🙂
Thanks Alex.
Is there anyway that I can get this functionality in the main menu bar? Or at least in the header section?
It’s working!
For the thumbnail to always appear in full (and not be cropped on either width or height, regardless of it’s ratio), I added:
.geodir_category_list_view li .geodir-post-img .geodir_thumbnail {
background-size:contain;
}Thanks 🙂
Ah, so adding ‘background-size:100%’ in the inspector helps, but I can’t get the right selector for the thumbnail to formally add the css…
All logos are different sizes, and I was hoping not to have to edit each one individually.
That’s great. All done – thank you 🙂
Oh! That works perfectly. Thank you!
(I had played with these but hadn’t found the right combination).I haven’t been clear:
I have a categories list (cpt cat widget) on the listings page, without sub-categories (it doesn’t display in the way I want if I add subcategories, so I have turned them off).
I think what I want to do is probably not possible out of the box. I would like a sub category menu instead of a category menu, when a user is viewing a category.
E.g.
Directory category (top level) is Restaurants.
When viewing Restaurants the menu is a sub-cat menu with:
Indian
Chinese
etc.I started a new topic as the other one was marked as resolved and I couldn’t change it. My apologies.
Thanks Guust. I had some entries under the parent and not the correct sub and that was causing confusion. Tidying those up now and I think everything will then be in the right place.
I’ll take a look at the popular cat widget also.As a follow up, now I have turned off display subcategories in the widget menu, they do not appear in my breadcrumb trail of listings, but I need them there for clear navigation.
Do I need to configure this manually?
Just seen this is marked as resolved. Will open a new ticket, thanks.
Can I ask a follow up question please?
I have turned off the sub-categories in the category listing. When I click on a category is there a way to have the sub categories then show at the top, instead of the higher level categories?
Thanks,
Hi Kor,
5* Review written. I wasted two weeks on an alternative before finding WPGeo. Very glad to be here! -
