I just started working on adding a CUSTOM POST TYPE but found a bunch of plugins needed updating. I click to update but the automated update fails. What is best-method to update all of those plugins manually?
I installed a virgin geodirectory and clicked on blog and there was a sample HELLO WORLD blog post and in that sample blog there was a COMMENTOR area which contains a small avatar from gravatar. See the partial path http://1.gravatar.com/avatar/d7a973c7dab26985da5f961be7b74480?s=60&d=mm&r=g
I would like to replace the avatar from gravatar so it is unique to my site. Do you have a path statement where the COMMENTOR could display a different avatar in the blog COMMENTOR section?
I will create a step-by-step guide and share it with you to share with everyone else.
By any chance, is there a step-by-step document to show the progression of tasks and in correct order to simply the creation of a new custom post type and assignment of custom post fields? This would be a huge help indeed.

Suggestion: think about adding title, alt, caption, and description for each image utilized in a listing for PLACES and EVENTS.
