Only show reviews in the location of the user. “Nearby the user”. The original question.
Is there a way to make the title & meta variables work in the widget body areas?
I know https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/gd-core-plugin-titles-metas/ has a way to make the title & meta variables show in the widget titles, but was wondering about getting it to work content/text area.
Is there a hard way? I need the location filter to work on the whole site not just geodirectory pages. That seems like a massive problem to have this plugin and expensive extensions to only work within the box of the plugin pages.
What about recent review widget to show reviews only nearby?
The whole point is to get each location page to look like http://www.staging.classicalcitizens.com/ with the places, reviews, and events to be for that location. Is that possible with geodirectory?
I know there is add_location_filter but actually picking the location would be nice.
It would be nice to have a shortcode call the same way the listings shortcode is to add the ability for location/city:
[gd_listings post_type=”gd_place” layout=1 category=”1″ post_number=”5″ character_count=”125″ list_sort=”high_review”]
to include location=”” and be able to call one of your locations.
Is there a way to make a regular WP page a GD page also so “Enable Location Filter” works on all pages?
Is there a way to make regular WP pages as part of the GD pages so the location settings in the widgets also work?
That is correct, but you are missing the point. When you set a location, current location page, you get directed to that page. If after that page you go anywhere else, it resets the location back to “pick location”. I want to pick a location and have it stay set.
I also added the feed with
<?php if ( is_user_logged_in() ) :
bp_get_template_part( ‘activity/post-form’ );
endif; ?>But it isn’t showing the css stylesheet to style that feed on the homepage. How can I call the css styling on the home page?
The review feed on http://www.staging.classicalcitizens.com/members/gsoohoo/reviews/ works properly. There is also the activity feed on http://www.staging.classicalcitizens.com/members/gsoohoo/
with gsoohoo being that member.
Can you have the review activity also show in the regular buddypress activity feed integration?
Cool. Thanks a lot. That’s exactly what I want.
I am failed to hide a couple of search options. For example, I try to hide all the options except
event
in the list page.
.site-content .search_by_post option[value!=gd_event] {display: none;}
Any comments would be helpful
Thanks!
Thanks Guust, it really helps. I also have some questions about event post types.
1: is that possible to add the GD search widget in the events page: https://classicalcitizens.com/events/
For now it just shows all the event without any filters2: Is there any way I can delete or hide the ‘event’ option in the main page search list. but also I want to create some search options under the events page.
