Sorry, nevermind. Found the conflict with the wordpress site address and the geodirectory home page/locations page.
Stiofan, that is in the right direction, but the client really wants a button to show at the bottom of each search result box with a button that says “contact”. Which then opens up an email form to send the that specific listing.
Is there anyway of making this happen?
There is nothing in that page about how to make images in the slider on the details pages forced into a square size only. What css would be needed?

Ok, how about a work around. What code would I need to add the the function.php to create a button on the listings pages to show a button that says “contact business” that links to the business page…and preferably make the contact form automatically pop up to fill out?
February 12, 2018 at 11:23 pm in reply to: How Do I Show Addition Places Info In The Search Results Page #417298Never mind. Eventually found you have to add the fields to the “listing page” in custom fields setting.
Never mind. It was a theme issue.
Prevuious unfinished question: Is there a way to make the title & meta variables work in the widget body areas?
I know https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/gd-core-plugin-titles-metas/ has a way to make the title & meta variables show in the widget titles, but was wondering about getting it to work content/text area.
Answer: Not tested but you could try “the_content” filter.
…….*********I still can’t get it to work. What should I add to the function.php to active the title variables in the widget content?
January 31, 2018 at 5:00 pm in reply to: Theme X Shortcodes Not Working oon Geodirectory Pages #415200This reply has been marked as private. How do you add the location slug as a body class?
And with your response, does that mean css can’t be used to style individual locations/categories then?
I don’t understand what you sent. Where/how is that implemented?
Thank you for your patience.
Ok. Last question.
I am ultimately trying to customize the page for different locations with places, reviews, and events to be for that location page. It’s apparent I have to use the widget area of geodirectory plugin for location filtering to work properly….
so how would I go about having a background image change for different cities? Is there a way to add a css class based on location or category within geodirectory? Is there a different page-id created for different pages created by geodirectory.
Essentially how can I style
http://www.staging.classicalcitizens.com/location/united-states/california/aliso-viejo/
and
http://www.staging.classicalcitizens.com/location/united-states/california/anaheim/
differently since I have to use the widget area to add the page layout? -
