That is not quite possible currently. For performance, the main map and the search will only do one CPT at the time.
Locations in the GD context are like cities and towns.
If you have all the data for business listings, you can add the data to the CSV spreadsheet and upload it like that.
GD is the directory software, and you add the data. Otherwise every site would be the same …November 8, 2014 at 6:26 am in reply to: Can you customize a Google Map with the GeoDirectory Framework? #20987The custom template is probably a child theme of another theme.
You can customize basically the same in a theme as a child theme, the only difference is that with a child theme you will not loose any of your customizations anytime the theme is updated.
If you like, we can have a look at your settings to see whether the template is a child theme or you can ask your designer.
Post your admin details in a private message if you want us to have a look.If you add locations without a listing in that location, you only create empty pages.
Do you mean you want business listings to copy? They are not available that I know off, at least not readily in the GD format.Hi and welcome
The CSV sample file is at GD > general > CSV and you can read more here:http://docs.wpgeodirectory.com/core-general/#csv
You do not need to create any locations, your users will do that for you as they add their listings.
Have a play at the demo, and add a listing or two, you’ll soon figure it out: http://wpgeo.directory/
Feel free to shoot any questions once you had a go at the demo and looked at the docs at http://docs.wpgeodirectory.com/basic-installation/
Hi Larry
You are locking us out of admin somehow.
That page seems fine, the Map is there in the sidebar?
Have you set the sidebar to yes at GD > design > search? Not that I know off, so I have alerted Stiofan to look at your question.
Using cPanel I take a backup of the database only. Simple and quick, save on your computer.
And copy the latest files from your WP to your local computer using FTP.If things fall over, just restore the database in cPanel, and use the file comparison feature of your FTP program (but that is usually not necessary – it is only the database you might need to restore).
Always back up before doing things that you are not sure about, and make sure you understand how to go back in time. Best insurance around.
I can’t quite replicate that. Can you give us a full URL of the searches you’re doing?
Is your location switcher telling you that you actually changed location after the first search?Gianni, have a look at this: http://docs.wpgeodirectory.com/redirecting-the-login-page/
When you intend to use a different login system, you need to use that one consistently, or you most likely end up with confused users (and admin :))
I think there are quite a few people happily using MyTheme Login with that login redirect.
Let us know how you went.I am pretty sure you only entered the beginning and the end date.
If you have a continuous event, you need to add every date or it will not show on your calendar etc for any other day than the first and the last day.Once you set the marker on the map, you can type in the address field something like “Stockholm City”, and as long you do not change the marker again, that is what will be saved then, rather than Skeppsholmen.
A URL would be useful, but try adding this to your CSS:
.geodir_thumbnail {image-rendering:optimizequality;}November 7, 2014 at 12:12 pm in reply to: Is there any way to centre the GD GMap Widget on homepage (not making it 100%) #20930For future reference: http://docs.wpgeodirectory.com/customizing-your-style/
That’s all a genius needs 🙂November 7, 2014 at 12:07 pm in reply to: Location Mangers Plugin: Listings not showing on map #20929I activate your MultiLocations plugin, and cannot see any problem.
I think that because you have the GeoLocation addon enabled, you were taken to the location closest to you, and you have no listings in that area.
If you use the MultiLocation plugin, you should use the Location Switcher, and especially when you use the Share Location plugin as well. Or your visitors will not realise they are taken to the location closest to them. -
