You need to set an address when adding an event. Events without an address will not show on the map.
It sounds like there is something gone wrong with your installation …1. Have you checked your widgets? Are they set to only show featured listings? I cannot reproduce this on my test site.
2. I can see your normal blog posts being included. I cannot replicate that. Some conflict maybe. I’ll get Stiofan to look at that.
3. How did you remove the photos being displayed on the main page?
When you say thumbnail, do you mean the infowindow of the map markers, aka the bubble when you click on a map marker?4. I can see all your detail pages if I follow the links from the map.
And do you have any listings with pics other than default pics?
Are you using the latest version of the core plugin?

GD is not multisite ready yet; that is still being worked on.I can confirm this has been fixed, checked on my test site.
Can you check the details you’ve given, I get a “The email or password you entered is incorrect. Please try again.” when I try to login to the control panel.
Steve, any user can add a listing, so all your existing users can already add a listing, regardless of login system you use.

To enable the advanced editor for the listing description:
GD > design > listings > Show description field as editor > choose the custom post typesRe “increase the space between items in grid view”, I am not sure what you mean. Can you be a bit more specific; a URL maybe and a screenshot perhaps?
