No, it doesn’t look like it.
Plan B: Do you have someone to recommend that could be hired to make some custom modifications? I’ve got a clear list of specific things that we’d like to have tweaked. This is for a personal side project with a friend, but I’m on a tight deadline and didn’t realize this would be so hard to modify…so I’d be interested in seeing what someone would charge, but would rather it be someone who is already familiar with this plug-in.
Okay, thank you! Follow-up questions:
It looks like there’s no custom CSS area in V2 (in the link you provided, it says to go to GeoDirectory > Design > Scripts > CSS Custom Code and that doesn’t seem to exist)? I assume I should make modifications in the actual stylesheet?
And then, when I inspect the element (which I’ve done before), it isn’t really working out. I want to eliminate the bullets, and have them be comma separated instead, for all fields both on the listings and the listing details page. There doesn’t appear to be anything in the CSS that’s telling the content within the geodir_post_meta or any of the other elements that is telling it to put that content in a bulleted list that I can find?
Is it defined in one of the template files somewhere? And if so, do you know which one?
Okay, thanks.
For the sidebar issue, am I doing something incorrectly?
I’m also finding that no matter what changes I make to the GD Details (template) page or Locations page (add/remove shortcodes), nothing changes on the details page for the listing. Is that not the right place for modifying those pages?
I’ve made updates to the place tabs, and that’s showing up, but now there’s some duplicate information that seems to be coded into the template itself (displaying the category) and I want to hide that.
Sorry for all of the questions – I’m reading through all of the documentation, but just really struggling.
I basically would like mine to look like the Supreme Directory theme, particularly the details page. However, I do not want to install/activate the Supreme Directory theme sitewide because I’m using a different theme.
Is there an easy way to do this, so I do not have to make all of these modifications manually?
Also, I’m trying to get a GD sidebar to appear on the page that shows the details of the individual listing. even when I have designated a sidebar, no sidebar appears (screenshot shows having designated a sidebar, which I’ve created and added the shortcode to it for the GD sidebar).
Hi,
Sorry! The second one (the one with the GD search) does not have the same style as the first. In the first one (my terms & condition page, which existed before installing GD) the main content area has a white background with a blue top bar/line (and the main content area isn’t 100% full width).
In the GD search page, there’s no white content block with a blue bar – it’s just all the light blue color.
I can’t find a way to recreate the look of the terms & conditions page (which is how all of my other pages on my website look because that’s how my theme is set up).
Hope that helps?
