Thank you very much – now I got it! I just have one question left: How can I sort the entries to show me upcoming dates? sort_by=”ascending” or sort_by=”ascending” doesn’T work. Here’s my Shortcode:
[gd_linked_posts title="Die nächsten Veranstaltungen" link_type="from" post_type="gd_event" title_tag="h3" sort_by="ascending" layout="gridview_onefourth" post_limit="4"]
Hello,
Just asking if there is any new information on this topic that might help me?
regards,
HerwigThank you, that worked well, the problem is solved.
Hello Alex,
Thanks for your answer. Yes – I mean places, and they are linked at the events via CPT. You can take a look at one of the events, they are all linked to a place. Or do I also have to link the event to the place? This reply has been marked as private.Thank you, that worked well! Do you also have some news about the second screenshot?
Thank you very much! Unfortunately, it didn’t filter the elements as you can see at https://gayguide.wien/orte/kaiserbruendl/ (events from other locations as well) or https://gayguide.wien/orte/cafe-augenblick/ (same events as before, but no event connected to this location) I used sort_by=’date’ instead of sort_by=’az’ to get the chronicle sorting of upcoming events.
Hello Alex,
Thank you for your answer. The GD Loop Actions element is added at the GD Archive page via the Gutenberg element “Loop Actions”. There are no options to test, change or view there, as far as I can see it. Should I replace that element with a shortcode?
Edit: It seems like to loop sorts events on basis of the ID, not of the date. After all dates of event A are displayed, the system shows all dates of event B and so on…

Thanks for your answer and sorry for my late reply. What I forgot to add: I’ve linked events and places like in this tutorial: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/linking-events-to-places/
And yes, “Red Carpet” can also be found on the event page, at the bottom of the right column. So, what I’m looking for is:
(a) Changing the first <street> at the top of the page to <location> to show <location>, <street>, <city> (which should be not so difficult by changing the parameter if I found out what this parameter is)
(b) After this is done correctly, insert the location also into the listings
Thanks, Herwig
Generally, the recommended code is a good start, as it puts a field before the address in single view – but it should be a different field, the location name and not the street. does anybody know how to change this parameter?
Thanks, Herwig
