Hi Alex.
Thanks for the update.
Out of interest, is this issue i have a one off (as in its never been raised before ) and therefore probably an issue at my end, or has this been reported on other occasions ? Im just guessing its a confined issue to me?, as this would be a fairly obvious glitch if it was a system bug all over affecting all users yeah ? 🙂

I was testing it on both an ipad and an iphone using safari.
I have just tried it on a google browser (on the same devices) and its working fine, so the issue is with safari browser on ios
I’m using a bare bones standard GD install with a WordPress 2017 theme, so all pretty standard stuff
Cheers.

Hi Guust.
Thanks for that. Look forward to hearing an update.

Meant to add – I’m using Open Street Maps not Google and as such have not downloaded any Google API – assuming this is not needed using OSM ?
Hi Guust.
Yes that’s correct….. as well as ‘Best of’ listings etc- just the same.
Yes a post excerpt character count would be a good idea too to standardize.
Cheers.

Thanks for the information, much appreciated.
Could you possibly confirm that the near me fix will be in the GDV2 Locations manager on beta release of this addon?
Id certainly be happy to test this (high and low level) if this helps getting this rolled out early:)
If so, if you could give approx release date of GDV2 locations manager it would be appreciated so i can plan this for my release date myself, as this (near me position being able to be updated on user request) is a critical operation for my release and business launch. Also just wondering if you have approx release dates for all the various add on’s? as i use most of these now on v1 (custom post types and payments manager being the bid two) and so need the ‘full compilation’ as such
Oh just a couple of final couple of questions:
-Any date for the data conversion tool to be released?
-Whats the best way to convert to v2 from v1, will this be available as just an ‘update’ option or will it require a manual installation and manual change of all settings etc
Thanks Stiofan.

Oh ok. I was hoping I might be able to get a work around for the present system. I only say this as i would imagine its going to be some months for a stable version of V2 to be out along with all the add-on’s that I use to be all working fine?- and i want to laugh very soon (next couple of weeks). Whats would be your best guess for a ‘realistic’ time frame for v2 including all addons to be a stable release?
I guess in the interim i will need to get a coder to see if they can do me a fix (customization) . Could you please give me some information on where to be looking (files wise) so i can try and get someone to fix this issue for me as to be honest, it would just not work if users cant update their location at all? Any information would be of help so it doesn’t cost me a fortune having someone having to try and find where the appropriate main code for using the ‘near me ‘ function is.
Thanks Stiofan.

Was just wondering how things/ ideas were going with any potential fixes for the near me issue?
Thanks as always.
