Hi Vikas,
I was wondering…could you tell me how to turn off auto search when the post type dropdown is changed? I was thinking that this could be a workaround for now.
Thanks!
Hi Vikas,
Good afternoon.
Thanks so much for checking for me. I really appreciate you.
I did have debug turned on to try to diagnose this issue. I’m at a loss. I just tried it and it gave me a 404 (mysite.com/posttype/united-states/texas/dallas). If I go to mysite.com/posttype then all is well. I noticed that the WP Geodirectory demo goes to demosite.com/posttype/united-states/state/city when the drop-down is selected and it’s working fine.
I tried using my cellphone and different browsers and they all gave me a 404. The only time it worked was the other morning when I first logged in.
Did the attached screenshots, especially error4 and error5, mean anything? I haven’t figured that out yet.
Thanks again for your help!
Hi,
I took 2 screenshots of the js error from Chrome when I get the 404. Wondering if they mean anything to you guys.
Thanks so much.
This is very strange. It’s having the same behavior again yet I didn’t make any changes to the site in any way today. This morning when I change the post type in the search bar it goes to the post type listings page without the country/region/city in the URL and it worked. Now, it’s going to the URL WITH country/region/city and it’s giving me a 404 again.
I feel bad to ask you guys to look at it. I’ll try to figure it out first. Just thought I’d update.
Thanks
Good morning.
I just tried again and it’s working fine. Before bed I did 2 updates so maybe those updates fixed it?
As always, thanks so much for you help!
Got it fixed. Thanks!

I didn’t realized there’s a v1.0.1. I installed that and it’s not giving me a blank page anymore when the URL has /country/region/city.
Thanks so much!
The search issue still remains so it must be a separate issue. I’ll post that in a new thread instead.
Thanks again!

Good morning.
I tested using Chrome, Firefox and IE, and they all have the same behavior. It seems the home top widget section isn’t activated if the URL includes location. If it’s just the base domain URL it’s fine.
I’ll attach a screenshot next.
Thanks!
Got it figured out using examples in this forum. Thanks, guys.
Good evening.
Sorry to bring up this topic again. The front end is still showing a a JavaScript popup saying “undefined” when I first go to the site and by random. I noticed that when this happens the URL is mysite.com/city/united-states/texas/dallas/.
Any ideas?
THANKS!
Hi,
Just want to update that I just followed Vikas’ instructions (thanks, Vikas!) and it fixed the back end issue; however, the front end issue as described still remains.
Also, want to thank all of you for outstanding support! I am not normally one to do any reviews but I’m going to wordpress.org to brag about you guys right now.
Thanks again!
Good morning, Vikas.
That fixed it! Thank you so much for your help!
