home top section not being shown

    Good evening.

    Sorry to bring up this topic again. The front end is still showing a a JavaScript popup saying “undefined” when I first go to the site and by random. I noticed that when this happens the URL is mysite.com/city/united-states/texas/dallas/.

    Any ideas?

    Hi Stiofan,

    Good morning.

    I tested using Chrome, Firefox and IE, and they all have the same behavior. It seems the home top widget section isn’t activated if the URL includes location. If it’s just the base domain URL it’s fine.

    I’ll attach a screenshot next.

    did you update Avada child theme to 1.0.1?

    First version had that problem, but John fixed it: http://dropct.com/avada/location/united-states/pennsylvania/philadelphia/

    I downloaded the 1.01 child theme but I rx the error ‘ Style.css’ not found when I tried to update it from the Theme > upload theme area.

    The dashboard update says themes are up to date.

    I went to the editor under appearance, my child theme is the default but I dont see a version # at the top of the CSS file or any other file.

    What am I doing wrong?

    Hi Paolo,

    I didn’t realized there’s a v1.0.1. I installed that and it’s not giving me a blank page anymore when the URL has /country/region/city.

    The search issue still remains so it must be a separate issue. I’ll post that in a new thread instead.

    Hi John,

    As you wrote above I have “reading settings set to “Your latest posts” and GD set to “Set geodirectory home page as your home” but then I am unable to set my blog page on Settings > Post page. What am I missing?

    HI sfamilia, are you using AVADA?

    In that case you don’t need to set your blog page in settings.

    Just create a blog page and in the content add the Avada shortcode for blog:
