Yes Guust, it makes sense to just have a Single Site with the Locations Manager and hence no need for a Multisite.
Just 1 clarification, before I restore the single site from the backup:
How will the Default Currency (ex GBP) and Currency Symbol (£) be dealt by GD for a non-UK country?
If the price for detailed listing is say £5 then will the price displayed be converted to local currency on GD? I understand Paypal will convert and charge in the local currency.Thanking you in anticipation.
JayThanks GUUST, you have clarified few misunderstandings. Few that I want to clarify:
If you want to have different countries in different sites, you need to set each site to default country listings only, and add manual links to the other sub-sites.
Remember:
Multisites required because currency & Ads are different for each country site but Language is English.1. I presume one needs to setup each country site though it is a fresh site?
2. If you do not network activate any plugins then how will they be installed in the subdirectory?
3. Any CSS in the main site will need to be redone?
4. how do you set each site to its default country?Excuse me of being a novice at GD. Login details provided earlier.
Rgds.

All my website will be in English for some time, so should I concern myself about WPML?

Admin login details remain the same.Is there a way to have the default site according to the country accessed from in a multisite networked setup?

Came across “multi-currency” blog on the forum, and it seems it will be best if I have a sub-directory for each country, and therefore each folder (site) will have its currency.
I successfully converted my Single Site to a Network Multisite. But now when I try to create a new site it is creating a subdomain site. I believe subdirectory has better performance for SEO. I think this is because I had an existing site. I have a backup of my Single Site. What can I now do so that I have a Multisite based on subdirectories?
Thanks Kor.

Hi Guust,
Made no difference !I edited the file:
/wp-content/themes/supreme-directory/inc/geodirectory-compatibility.phpJay
Thanks Guust. I manage to hide/remove the categories.
Now how do I move the CPT list to the same position? (see the previous image)
Jay
Thanks Guust
I have made changes towards what I want (see attached image)
1. Popular Categories to be removed from the Home Page.
2. This to replaced with CPT Listing. I manage to create this in the Top Section of the Home Page but cannot figure out how to move it to the centre below the Search Box? May be some CSS.If I get the instructions, I am happy to do it.
