I think I figured it out. I needed to show advanced settings to really understand how to make GD Listings work!
I must be thinking of something else then, sorry. I had to disable some plugins, but now that you mention it, those may have been just non-gd ones. Maybe I didn’t, I must have had it already installed… I can’t remember what I did now. I’ve done too many things over the last week i guess… lol
I may have fixed it. I went ahead and removed the first image that was not showing as featured and reuploaded it.
I just remembered, when I first uploaded this image I realized I wanted to change it on photoshop. So i made the change in photoshop and then went back to the listing, deleted the image and uploaded the changed version. But, I didn’t change the title of the image. So, when I removed the image and uploaded the new one with the same name as the old it must have freaked out the site somehow. Then later when i went to it the image was in there twice and what I explained about in the original post happened…
So, I suppose this isn’t anything you need to do something about or not… I imagine it may not happen often if ever again…
Man, something really isn’t right about this. I just added 30 images and to https://thingstodoinnc.com/places/gastonia/viva-tequis/ and they all look horrible. There was some that were already in there and real small. They display in the lightbox small. So, it’s not like it’s stretching them. Something is causing these images to look horrible.
Also, I’m pretty sure I turned it off by deactivating it and then turned it back on since the V2 site where gd booster is working VeganLinked.com was a conversion and I had to disable all the V1 plugins to convert it…
Still weird, why have GD Booster as one of the extensions in the new V2 interface for extensions then?
Alex, I’m using GDV2. I was trying to figure out how to see related listings. I think what you’re saying here sounds like what I want to do but you don’t explain how.
I looked under CPT/settings/Tabs and nothing appears to do this. I looked under widgets and nothing. I looked for shortcodes under design elements and blocks and nothing.
we use to be able to show related listings but I don’t see how.
It would be very helpful if there was a demo that showed everything GD is capable of and screen shots of everything with shortcode labels pointing to each element in the screen shot.
I actually noticed this on right away on the first image I posted. If you click on that building image of this listing: https://thingstodoinnc.com/places/shelby/the-earl-scruggs-center/
Here’s a direct link to it. This looks fine when it’s only this size. https://thingstodoinnc.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/Earl-Scruggs-Uptown-Shelby-North-Carolina-1-1024×576.jpg
However, if the site is going to downsize/compress the image then the GD listing image ideally would not blow it up (causing degradation). The GD listing lightbox ideally would show the image at it’s actual size and no larger than the device viewport.See the attached image, this is the image that I uploaded. I can actually zoom into that image. Significantly further zoomed in the image still looks sharper than the one from the GD Listing.
If the image is 1024 that sounds like it was downsized and compressed. Is there something doing that to the images? If so, is there a way to make it not do that?
I thought there was a way to control how large of an image users upload. Is that still possible in GD? I haven’t had time to look yet. If it is then I may not need images compressed.
If this is going to be fixed I’ll just wait. Is this going to be fixed because I don’t want CSS there when it’s not needed. I can just not show more than one video for now if it’s going to be fixed later. I’m thinking it should only show one video anyways. Otherwise it will have a long list of videos pushing everything else down making the details page look odd.
what is the JS version and how do I switch to it? that sounds familiar…
Is this something that is going to be fixed and cause me to have CSS I don’t need at some point? This is at least the fourth time adding CSS to resolve something…
The resolution is 2000 by 1125 of this image. It may be 1024 after the website gets down with it though.
I thought about that but when I open one image on one monitor and the one from the website on the other monitor full screen they’re both the same size. The local one is clearly sharper.
Even if I open the one i uploaded here in one tab and compare, this one is sharper.

Actually, several imported listings do this…
