    Is there a recommended/best way to display nearby listings on a listing page?

    GDV1 related listings options are built in to the custom post type settings in the design tab.
    https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-design/
    That is at GD – Design – Detail – RELATED POST SETTINGS

    Sure! Are you using GDV1?
    When you upgrade to GDV2 you can use GD Listings to show listings related to the current post by category or tag, and sort by nearest. You can add it to the detail template or add another tab. Lots of options with GDV2.

    Alex, I’m using GDV2. I was trying to figure out how to see related listings. I think what you’re saying here sounds like what I want to do but you don’t explain how.

    I looked under CPT/settings/Tabs and nothing appears to do this. I looked under widgets and nothing. I looked for shortcodes under design elements and blocks and nothing.

    we use to be able to show related listings but I don’t see how.

    It would be very helpful if there was a demo that showed everything GD is capable of and screen shots of everything with shortcode labels pointing to each element in the screen shot.

    Hi Alex, I am on V2, looking into your recent reply. I only I only see an option to display posts as what resemble archive items, is there a way to have the listings populated onto a map?

    @jeff-adams in either tabs section or widgets (if you want it on the sidebar) section/page, you can implement them by;

    [for Tabs] – add a tab for shortcode, use the builder to create a GD Listing

    [for Widgets] – add the “gd listing” widget from the left to the desired sidebar

    Hi Tim, that’s an interesting idea! I will flag that for the developers to consider for future versions. At this time it’s only possible to ‘filter’ listings with GD Listings, showing the related listings as archive items.
