How did the testing with PHP7 work out? Does it make sense to move to it?
This can be done with GD as it is a plugin, not a theme. The SKY theme looks pretty much like this. Nothing someone proficient with CSS and design skills cannot do. GD adds directory functionality to a theme, it is not a theme in and of itself.
This is a great idea to keep a running tab of compatible plugins!
From what I read on the forums there will be a blog post on server requirements soon….

I wasn’t asking about building your own, I understand the complexity and that it is off the table. But you had indicated in the forums that you were looking at making GD compatible with a third party reservation plugin. That is what I am asking about.
Any updates on this? Has there been any progress towards recommending a third party reservations plugin?

No, GD was overkill for the site. I used WPJobBoard with the very basic directory that goes with it.
I am using GD for another site that does not have a Job Board.
