So I think this is actually causing an issue on my site right now. If I hit any of the directory category pages, it tries to geolocate me then redirects me to a non-existant page giving me a 404 error. Are there any settings for this plugin? I’ve looked and looked but can’t seem to find anything.
I just need it to only identify the current location of the user when they try and search near their current address. Is that possible? Thanks guys!
Is there a way to set the pagination other than in the blog options? I want my blog to still limit at 5, but I want my directory to return all posts. Help? Thanks!
Ah yes, that’s what I needed. Couldn’t find that table. Used this to update ALL of them at once:
UPDATE 'geodir_gd_place_detail' SET 'claimed'=1
Thanks guys!
Yeah, we had 2000 listings, luckily only 120 of them don’t have good addresses so we’ll be doing those manually. There are a lot of API’s out there that’ll grab the lat long for you, here’s to including that in a future update! 😉
AH!!!! THANK YOU! I knew it had to be something easy like that.
This reply has been marked as private.Awesome, man! It just going to be a core update I’m looking for?
October 10, 2014 at 11:52 pm in reply to: Is there a hook that calls above the the category title? #18010Sorry guys, wanted to try and delete this one. Found the hook I needed, “geodir_wrapper_open”. Thanks!
That’s perfect. Just what I was needing. And the default search is always radius search, unless otherwise specified, right?
I guess it might be a little easier to explain what I’m trying to accomplish. On this dev site, musclecars.wpengine.com, the client would like to have default listings show up with the featured items. Then in the dropdown he’s hoping to have an “order by distance” or proximity, really. How might I set that up?
Thank you so much for the help! This has been a killer to figure out and we’re almost there.
Awesome on both fronts. Thanks Guust and Stiofan! So what does the GeoDir Share Location plugin do at this point? I mean, I realize it geolocates the visitor… just wondering how that incorporates into the flow right now. Thanks!
Freak… awesome-ness. Thanks Simone!
Awesome. I’ve got that configured as you stated. You da man. Follow up question… Is there a way to call the search form outside of a widget? Perhaps with a function?
Thanks!
I just ended up doing display:none on the elements, if there’s a cleaner way… Let me know. Thanks!
Dude, both of you are awesome! I went with Simone’s way only because it was a little more customizable, but definitely was unaware of Guust’s way, which opens up a ton of options!
One other thing, how about removing the excerpt and favorite buttons from the listing?
