Hello John,
Currently there is no easy way to achieve what you asking.
We recommend you to split main categories into different CPT.
Suppose there is a one CPT(gd_xyz) with two categories Hotels & Restaurants then it can be split in gd_hotel for Hotels & gd_restaurant & Restaurants .Regards,

Listing slider widget shows listings with featured image. You have not any listings with featured image uploaded.
Upload featured image for the listings to show in slider.

This issue has been fixed.
I have not applied patch on your site, because FTP account does not have access to public_html(WordPress root) folder, it shows empty directory. Please provide access to WordPress root directory to the FTP account.
OR update following patch on your site.

I have done some debugging and found that it stores correct data for post 18923 in database. But in form it showing data in form of the listing https://www.canalfriends.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=18964&action=edit&lang=fr&classic-editor=1
I am investigate & fix if is there any conflict.

There was permalink issue on sitemap and it was happening when default country enabled. I have fixed it.
