    We’re using Yoast to deliver sitemaps, and were wondering how well they interact with GD?

    We know GD creates a large volume of variable pages to cover every possible combination, and that ’empty’ pages are noindexed. But Yoast doesn’t seem to be following this.

    A good example is the sitemap at https://www.carsuk.net/gd_placecategory_location_region-sitemap.xml which delivers all the combinations for ‘Hampshire’ despite most being empty, and as far as we can see sitemaps for other regions haven’t been generated at all.

    Thanks for your post. Could you refer to this section of the documentation from Yoast https://kb.yoast.com/kb/sitemap-does-not-update/ and see if it helps ?

    Okay, happy to follow Yoast’s instructions to force a rebuild, but everything non-GD is in the sitemap, and it really doesn’t explain why the empty, no-indexed pages for Hampshire are in the map, and shouldn’t be, or why so much is missing.

    But I’ll clear the cache and rebuild the sitemaps later and get back to you.

    I’ve forced a sitemap rebuild but, as I expected, as nothing has changed since the previous sitemap refresh it hasn’t addressed the problems I outlined in my earlier post.

    There was permalink issue on sitemap and it was happening when default country enabled. I have fixed it.
