    Hi taj2000,

It requires some core code customization to meet your requirements. Because neighbourhood field is dependent on city field. It will be displayed on add listing form if city has neighbourhoods added or Google address search api providing neighbourhood in response.
So neighbourhood field should be remain as a optional field, because in some cases city may not have not have neighbourhoods.

    Thanks,
    Kiran

    Hi,

Let me provide these two CSV files as it is that you are importing. Also make sure these two listing translation should not be in Translation Basket.

Please try to re-save item from admin if it solves the problem. After getting CSV files i will try importing in my test site to check whether problem in CSV file or something else.

    Hi Alex,

    1)
There are some listings which have translations not fully completed and yet under review. Go Places > select all languages from languages switcher > it shows English (20) | German (4).
Because you have translations for some listings are still in translation basket(means under review). Check here WPML > Translation management > Translation Basket.
On Places list when you hover on pen marker it shows “Cannot edit this item, because it is currently in the translation basket.” see screenshot.

    2) Fixed

    3) Fixed

    4) Follow the answer given by WPML support guy at https://wpml.org/forums/topic/translated-languages-are-mixed-between-different-language-approach/#post-1299058

During export > import make sure you have correct values there for columns “language” & “original_post_id” in CSV file. If listing that being imported is a translation of other listing then put original post id value under original_post_id column.

    Let us know.

    Thanks,
    Kiran

    Hi Alex,

Thanks you for providing information in brief.

Can you confirm the FTP details you provided is for the same site?
Because no changes reflected on front end, whatever changes uploaded, even it doesn’t log/print if i want to log/print something. I checked disabling Auto optimize & WP Super Cache plugins but still same things happens.
Do you have any server side caching system enabled?

    Let us know.

    Thanks,
    Kiran

    Hi Alex,

    1. In DE those widgets showing no listings because for selected categories has no listings in DE language. For ex: Bars has some listings available in EN but not in DE language.
    EN https://www.worldcheckin.com/hospitalities/bars/ > listings available
DE https://www.worldcheckin.com/de/bewirtungen/bar/ > no listings available

    2. There seems a bug, we have fixed this now. Let us provide FTP details so we can update this on your site.

    3. We need FTP details to look into this.

    4. Do not delete these strings. WPML registers new strings for translation if strings not added in string translation list. You can switch language for those strings with select all those strings and click “change language of selected strings” and choose DE language.

    Let us know.

    Thanks,
    Kiran

    Hi,

    > So, do I not do the core translation steps at all and the Japanese core po/mo files are never uploaded?
    <
It depends on which method you are using for translation.
    – WP standard uses po/mo files for translation. So po/mo files required in languages folder if you are using WP standard translation method and not installed any third party translation plugin.
    – WPML provides three options for translation.
    1) Translate the theme and plugins using WPML’s String Translation only (don’t load .mo files)
    2) Translate the theme and plugins using WPML’s String Translation and load .mo files as backup
    3) Don’t use String Translation to translate the theme and plugins

    If you choose
    1) You have to upload po/mo files in languages folder, and translation loaded only from files.
    2) First it load the translation from string translation but it no translation added for that then it loads from translation po/mo files.
    3) No need to upload po/mo files in languages folder as it loads only string translation

    > The only real problem I’ve ever run into is GD using the Japanese strings on the admin site when I have my language set to English.
    <
Let me know did you checked with my steps mentioned here? https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/topic/admin-site-using-translations-when-shouldnt/#post-382942
If you have checked what you seen? Because i have tested it on my local site and your staging site too and it worked for me.

May be on your site is loading translation via geodirectory.mo from wp-content/languages/ directory. Try after rename that geodirectory.mo file.

    Hi James,

We have added new hooks to customize ‘Everywhere’ text and also to customize empty text for location and location_single in location description.
This will be available in next version of GeoDirectory core & Location Manager. From next versions you can filter this text via hooks.

See example given with code snippet to customize, this code can be used after next versions released.

    Hi,

Please check all GD plugins except core are deleted. GeoDirectory core should be deleted at last after GD plugins deleted.

To remove GD data manually, all the GD tables deleted and then remove GD plugins directories from /plugins/.

    Hi,

Instructions mentioned on page translate-core is uses WP standard translation method.
WPML(WordPress Multilingual Plugin) is a third party plugin that allowing your website to become multilingual. WPML has its own translation method like string translation.

Steps described in my last reply are for importing strings for WPML translation purpose when you have non EN has a default language.

Here are the steps to fix:
    1) Go WPML > String Translation & search “Japan” string with “Exact match” ticked
    2) Translate the untranslated string for “Japan” > Mark Translation is complete > Save
    3) Go WPML > String Translation & search “日本” string with “Exact match” ticked
    4) Here if you see any result which has source language English and test is “日本” then change language of that string to Japanese > After page refreshed set Japan for EN language for that strings.

If still you have a problem then compare search results on live and staging sites for steps 1) & 3).

It seems you have imported .po incorrectly. What steps you have followed to import .po file?

    Steps that i followed:
    1) Go WPML > String translation > Delete all the translations with domain “geodirectory”. To delete strings i ticked all the strings which have domain “geodirectory” & then clicked “Delete selected strings” button.
    2) In Import / export .po section on same page upload file “geodirectory-ja.po” that you provided
    3) Tick “Also create translations according to the .po file”
    4) Select “geodirectory” from dropdown list “Select what the strings are for:” > click on “Submit”
    5) On next page tick all the strings > click on “Add selected strings”

    That’s it.

Please fix fuzzy translations in .po file you provided. To fix it i opened it with po editor selected all the strings and unmarked Fuzzy from top menu.

    Hi D.D

There is a feature in Review Rating Manager plugin that has an option to allow user to mark review useful(like) or not. Currently we have not implemented it in API.

I have added task for it and we will add in future release. Task added to mark listings favorite/unfavorite & mark reviews useful via API.

    Hi kairei,

I tries to import the .po file you attached in my test site and it worked fine without any problem.
    Check screenshots attached
    1) Admin > Edit My Profile > Language => EN > Save
    2) Admin > Edit My Profile > Language => JA > Save

If you allow i want to try to import that file on your staging site.

    Let me know.

    Thanks,
    Kiran
