    Hi Naveen,

    Thanks for the response.

Do I select Show=”All” or Show”Icon”? In any case I did both after adding the css but the text is still there.

    Hi Kiran,

Thank you so much for your detailed explanation. I get it now. The code was inserted into the child theme sidebar which was showing before bug fix.

I have been running to and fro between developers to get this sorted out because the custom work was done so long ago. Thank you so much!

Hi Kiran, thanks for the response. It shows full layout because I was restoring the different versions back and forth to check on my customisation. At that point, I found that as long as I was on the latest version of GD, even if I dont set the sidebar, my customisation went missing.

I have restored it to 30 Jul which is before the GD update and my customisations work fine. Please feel free to update the GD plugin to the latest version to test the difference.

I’ve updated to the latest version of GD and it made my customisation (the vertical filters on the left of search result page) disappear again.

So is this part of gd support? I can’t be getting the developer to do more work everytime GD updates and something goes wrong.

    Hi,

After the patch the website went through a series of issues.

I had had some customisation work done a long time ago and they disappeared after the patch.

    1) Search results page
I had some work done so that the custom search filters appear in a column on the left (I started a thread on this because I thought this was a function that came with the Advanced Search plugin. But after your developers didn’t seem to get what I was saying, I checked on my work log and realised that this was actually customisation work I had my developer do a while back.

    2) Front page
    pls refer to attached

    3) Received email from wordpress on the same day regarding a fatal error on GD Advanced Search plugin, and a few days later another WP email regarding fatal error on GeoDirectory Ajax Duplicate Alert plugin.

We couldn’t find out what went wrong so I restored the website back to before the patch was applied, so now my sidebars are not appearing again.

    A) Do you think the issues have to do with the patch?
    B) Could you help me apply the patch again or provide instructions for how to do it?

    Hi,

I’ve been cracking my head on what caused this to happen and found that at the same time the side filters disappeared, I received any email from WordPress as attached in the following message.

    Hi Kor,

Thanks for your response. No I wasn’t referring to the cogwheel.

Previously, after a search, the user lands on a search result page. On this page, the filters appear in a vertical column on the left of the page.

Just to add on, I’ve tried reconstructing the page, deleted and added back the gd_search shortcode but it still doesn’t work. I’ve even gotten a developer to take a look but he doesn’t know what caused it too.

Hi. It was an automated email sent to me.

I have another problem. Previously, the advanced search filters will appear on the left side of my search result page whenever we perform a search. Now it’s disappeared.
