Stiofan:
I was able to get everything installed and running, however, the database is still giving me an issue. I backed it up as an Excel CSV file on my desktop. Using the Admin panel I attempted several times to import the file using import wizard in the attached screen grab. The file is too large for Open Office. Does this need to be converted before uploading again? Also I need to change the copyright year in the footer. I saw it once, but can’t find it again. Where is it located?
ThanksStiofan:
I have managed to get GD up and running on my test site. I have a backup from the GT database. Can i just move the GT database into the new GD database or go through some type of conversion process? Thanks
Stiofan:
Thank you for the suggestion, here is the result
I went to plugins>add new>typed GeoDirectory> clicked on “install now” and this screen appeared.
Stiofan:
I am following your guide posted on YouTube here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_VZqtc_BP1UHaving already uploaded and installed, GD Framework and GD child theme I was expecting to see GD listing on the left side. As you will note, there is none.
In one of the many attempts, I noticed that the event manager plug-in was throwing errors all over the site and causing additional issues. I deleted the entire site (again)and started over with this result as of now.
Suggestions?
ThanksStiofan:
I will continue with this, if further issues, I will reply.
ThanksHi Stiofan:
I know you have, as you wrote the tutorial and thank you for answering.I printed the instructions and at number 2,”Copy your database (DB) …. Using phpMyAdmin………..included in cPanel. Select table….
My host’s cPanel looks very different from the example you provided. I was able to locate the name of my database, but not the location. It appears, in your example, there are many files to be copied and the file size example is more than 100K. My file size is less than 20K, (with 3 years of data) therefore it cannot be the correct database file to copy. Following your continuing example, the variance between your cPanel example and mine continues to grow.
First step is to find the location of the database, then copy it to where?
While the instructions are step-by-step for those of us who are not coders or programmers, some of us need additional insights to the process. As I have limited time to accomplish this task, your help is appreciated.
Any suggestions would be helpful.
Thank you
