And while I have you, any more thought/direction on having recurring events only show once versus over populating the list view in events? There was a thread a while back. Or should I open a new thread?

BUT, AND, I still think we are slightly looking at two different things. All other cpt’s do NOT need sorting set up to have a featured listing be at the top of all listings within ea. cpt. Why is the events cpt different? Yes, it works (and thank you for this) but I would prefer not to have the featured sorting dropdown on page and would like to understand the difference in the way that the cpt’s display listings. (I know I can hide the sorting dropdown with css but…)

Yes, I had tried the sort option early on and nothing changed. I see that you added “featured” to the sort option, and it does not filter as such at frontend (meaning does not show first). Have tried in 3 different browsers. The only thing that it has added is the sort by/dropdown on page which does not work either.
If you go to the marketplace cpt, you will notice that the featured listings show first but I do not have the sort option set as featured in backend (screenshot). https://kamuela.com/marketplace/
All other cpt’s will put featured listings at the top by default (?) without me doing anything (unless I did it so long ago I cannot remember!). And though I do not have the featured option for any of the cpt’s free listings, I can go into backend and make any free listing “featured” and it will show at frontend as featured, except for the events cpt!
One thought is I removed images from events, so the featured banner would not work and maybe it is tied in with the way a featured listing works/shows??? But this doesn’t really make sense.
And now to figure out why the site is so slow all of a sudden!!! Uggg and thanks again for your help!

I saw that thread, I do look for answers prior to posting, and also by posting it shows continued interest in a function. I am not using a widget so that doesn’t help, I am referring to the events listings page.
I may not be communicating clearly. You are basically saying “no”, my first request/question cannot be done, and MAY be looked at in V2. Can you confirm that this is something on the table for V2, and an idea of when? I would hate to pay to have it implemented now only to have it added, say next week :).
Any help regarding the featured checked at backend not reflecting at frontend?

Yes, I do. A free listing, but featured is not enabled. Featured is not enabled in any of my free listing pkg, yet I can go into any of those other cpt’s and change the listing to featured, via admin/backend, and have it then show as featured at frontend. Cannot do this with events cpt. Is it set up differently?
Regarding my first question. since you did not answer, I am assuming there is nothing that can be offered from the forum, correct? Please let me know if anyone knows of a way to have recurring events only show up once in listings. If not, will this functionality be available in V2?

This reply has been marked as private.Ok, just noticed… you added to the design/scripts, which looks great if there is no thumbnail/image (as I requested), but now, on all other cpt’s, the thumbnail/image is above the content, instead of to the left of the content. (screenshot attached).
If I add to the .css you provided, .gd-post-gd_event (thinking cpt needed to be specified), then the thumbnail/image aligns to the left, correctly, in all other cpt’s, but then, the .li content in events cpt, goes back to being up against the left side again as it was by hiding the image for that cpt.
Sorry, it’s taken me so long to see this, I didn’t even think to look at the other cpt’s for their formatting.
Have I exhausted all ideas :)? thanks!
