Hi,
Thanks for the pointer to the “disable-real-mime-check” plugin. I don’t know if it is associated with the WordPress bug or something different, but from my experience today the CSV upload didn’t import all the data correctly. Before WP 4.7.2 I was able to assign an author and a product category before the import. Now no matter what value I set the author and the product are set to the default.
Please let me know if there is anything I can do before WP 4.7.3. I am using GD Version 1.6.17, and have v1.2.9 marker cluster and v1.5.31 location manager in case they have a bearing.
Thanks
Malc
Hi Stiofan,
Yes that seems to be it. In order for us to hide the element in the listings that says, for example, “My Custom Sort: 1” is this in settings or do we just do it with CSS?
Thanks
Malc
This reply has been marked as private.Yep, you’re right, I put it in the child theme css but my phone was caching – I’ve found the best method with these Androids is to select the option for request desktop site then deselect it, and that seems to clear the cache. It’s a pain to do otherwise.
I take it you’d recommend removing that line again once you have the fix in the main theme?
Thanks

Hi Stiofan,
Thanks for your reply – I have tried adding the fix you mentioned, but I still have the same problem.
Anyway happy to wait for your fix, and I can test on my Android again and let you know. I understand it’s good to progress things, but I sometimes wish Google would leave things alone 🙂
Best regards
Malc
Further to my previous post I have identified the following code seems to be the culprit:
<script type=”text/javascript”>
jQuery(document).ready(function () {
//initMap(‘geodir_map_v3_home_map_1’); // depreciated, no need to load this twice
build_map_ajax_search_param(‘geodir_map_v3_home_map_1’, false);
map_sticky(‘geodir_map_v3_home_map_1’);
});</script>
I identified this by making a copy of the homepage as a straight html page, and once this element is commented out functionality using menus is spot on. Can you please let me know how we can resolve this issue? Also if you need ant screenshots from the mobile let me know.
Thanks and regards
Malc
Checked on mobile as well, just as follow-up, and that’s working too
Updated the Geodirectory plugin and the marker cluster add-on, all good, back up and running, thanks guys
Hi, we have just upgraded our site to use SSL following the advice posted here relating to “near me”. Like others here we no longer see the marker cluster image on our site https://dinnerdata.co.uk/ – we noticed the problem 11th May around 17:00 UK time.
I tried setting the site and wordpress URL back to http;// not https:// and it may have been a coincidence, but the images started appearing again for a brief time, so switched back to https:// and the images stayed on the first refresh, but next try around 18:20 they went again.
I tried the same settings change this morning and no luck – don’t know if this helps look in the right place for an answer, but thought I’d share.

Hi,
Thanks for your feedback and help – we have now updated location manager etc and all versions of add-ons are up to date.
We now have an SSL certificate so the site can be reached using https://dinnerdata.co.uk/. We have deactivated the Geodirectoryx Force Update plugin as you suggested.
One remaining question I think – it seems if you use “near me” that it searches all places and returns results that way. Is there a way of refining that search so if a user was searching “restaurants” and then wanted to find just the nearest restaurants using near me it can filter the results?
Thanks again – a great product set

This reply has been marked as private.Hi Paolo,
Further to the details about the near me function, a bit of further investigation it would seem the latest release of chrome for Android, v50, has done something to upset the permissions side of things.
I rolled Chrome back to factory version (v43) and I can use near me, on another phone using v49, still ok. Mine is on v50 and says “Permission denied in finding your location”
I don’t know whether this relates to the need to update to 1.4.6 as the alert looks like it comes from geodir_location_hooks_actions.php?
Hope this helps

This reply has been marked as private.Hi Paolo,
Thanks – as my licence won’t take in the back end – am I OK to uninstall the current version I have and then install the new version without losing all my locations?
After that I’ll test the near me function again.
Thanks
Malc
