Oh ok – I assumed it was how it is supposed to look. I would indeed love to hear some ideas on how to style it better, thanks!
November 4, 2014 at 11:43 am in reply to: Advanced search for delivers no results & remove grey cat display on map #20508nope didn’t help 🙁
Also, on what page are the search results displayed? I have the option to set a specific header image for each page in my theme and I would like to do that as this page (otherwise it will show two maps). I thought it might be Listing Succes, but it is not. Do you know which page it is?
thanks!
Perfect, that works. But now when I have multiple search results, none of them are shown on this map – is that correct?
perfect. thank you.
This reply has been marked as private.a) yes, the only option is select because other options do not allow for multiple selections. But with all these options, the categories are not displayed as nested, just with an ‘-‘ in front of it. Other ideas on how to get the nested look as Tom submitted?
b) Perfect, thanks.
c) ok, any direction on where to edit this class (geodir_submit_search) and make it visible on the other location?
d) Yep. Fixed.
e) ok, get it now. Will try.
Thanks again.
Did both of these things and still does not show as the image submitted by Tom. Please see the search form here: http://newsite.eat-amsterdam.com/location/
Any idea why?
Hi Simone,
In my widget area my width of the map is set at 100%, however, my map is still not centered on the page: http://newsite.eat-amsterdam.com/location
any idea why?
November 4, 2014 at 9:45 am in reply to: Advanced search for delivers no results & remove grey cat display on map #204851) Seems to work for now. Not sure what changed but I’ll be back in touch if the problem occurs again.
2) Box to collapse categories is checked in Appearance > widgets > GD Home section > GD home map > collapse categories – but categories are still shown. any idea why?
Hi!
Thanks again. I have some remaining questions:
a) Subcategories:
I have added subcategories (i.e. French Restaurants under the parent restaurant) but they are only made visible with an – sign before it. From the lay-out it is not quite clear that they are subs. How can this be adjusted? See http://newsite.eat-amsterdam.com/location/ for an example on the search form.b) At the top of my search form there are two fields; one for search and one for near. Why is there no text showing in the (first) search field? And where can I adjust this?
c) Can I get a search button (as on the bottom of the advanced search form) at the top of the form – next to the ‘near field’ as well?
d) I have added Rating at GeoDirectory-Place Settings-Sorting Options, but not seeing it anywhere. I’m probably doing something wrong but I can’t see what… You said above that it looks like I have removed the standard rating system – how would I get this back to make sure the ratings are shown?
e) When uploading a cdv file to transfer old places into this plugin I want to attached the images as well, as you suggested. What is the post name for that? It is not mentioned here: http://docs.wpgeodirectory.com/core-general/#csv
Thanks again
November 4, 2014 at 8:55 am in reply to: Advanced search form (customize my search) does not display on mobile or tablet #20481thanks, I’ll just remove the custom CSS since I’m not comfortable with responsive css
I have Version 1.2.7. Look forward to hearing from you how I can create nested categories.
thanks
I have just downloaded the advanced search add on yesterday and I have no option for nested categories – or I just don’t see it 🙂 Can you guide me to where this can be done or tell me when the update with this functionality is available?
Thanks!
October 30, 2014 at 6:14 pm in reply to: Advanced search form (customize my search) does not display on mobile or tablet #20144Hi Stiofan,
Thank you for your reply. yes I know, I did the CSS myself (as suggested on this forum) to make the advanced search form appear where I want it to. So to make sure the form is well portrayed on all devices should I just remove this CSS and settle for a search form beneath the map?
thanks,
