I looked at the shortcode, but it seems to create individual “add listing” pages by custom post type. I was looking for a single page (or at least a single url) on which you could choose any custom post type from a drop down.
so I could add any & all listings from this url http://www.mysite.com/add-listing/ (which currently just returns to the home page)
Rather than a separate page as it is now:
http://www.mysite.com/add-listing/?listing_type=gd_AAAA
http://www.mysite.com/add-listing/?listing_type=gd_BBBB
http://www.mysite.com/add-listing/?listing_type=gd_CCCC
etc.
Ok, I was copying and pasting the contents of the poedit file into a new file I created on the server which is where the error must have been happening. (In case anyone else is making the same mistake)
Many Thanks.
Some sites suggest using this code
<?php
add_filter( ‘widget_categories_args’, ‘force_widget_cat_args’ );
function force_widget_cat_args($cat_args) {
$cat_args[‘hide_empty’] = 0;
return $cat_args;
}
?>
but I have tried inserting it into a few different function.php files without any success.
Hi,
I’m surprise to hear this, I have seen a few requests for this functionality in my search for a solution….and even some old posts alluding to a “Hide empty categories” tick box that needs to be unchecked (which I couldn’t find) in the admin.
Also some .php code that seems to refer to this function, but my coding skills are pretty limited.
