Stiofan:
I’m not seeing the map icon bounce when I hover over the icon pile.
Advice?
Thanks again.
Marsha
Guust,
Thanks for those answers. I am experimenting a bit with the shortcodes, with the idea that maybe I could add the location switcher to the sidebar on some pages.
But I’m starting to find that my theme doesn’t seem to display the sidebar in mobile. Still playing.
Also: What css code would I use to change the color of the “Near Me” button?
Thank you!
Marsha
Stiofan,
Thank you! It has stopped scrolling for me also.
So that’s what that feature is for! That makes sense now.
So I will disable the marker cluster because that doesn’t seem like the correct solution.
Many thanks for your quick help.
Marsha
Thanks Kor. Very very helpful.
Here’s one link for the businesses that are piled on top of each other on the map. (Bike category.)
http://adventurebrevard.com/bike/Here’s a question: If I don’t use the actual street address for the businesses but place the markers on the map near each other, can I avoid the pile up of icons on the map? (I disabled that feature.)
Stiofan: Thanks. I rediscovered the widget after posting, but it is disabled in the home page map widget AND on the details page map and the location map still scrolls with the mouse.
Thanks for your help!

Thanks Guust!Very very helpful.
Follow up questions please:
4. I’m sorry if I wasn’t clear enough. I don’t want to right-align the entire menu bar, I want to split the menu bar, left-aligning the normal Home and other tabs and right-aligning the location switcher. Is that possible?
5. If I understand correctly, my site needs to be a secure HTPPS site to enable showing the user’s current location, correct?
As always, many thanks for your help.

That could do it.
Thanks so much for directing me.
Much appreciated.

Thanks Paolo.
I wasn’t aware that WP post categories would overlap with GD CPT categories.
Many thanks for taking a look!

Thanks again Stiofan.
No, not a whole country. 😉
I may try enabling these and play with a few listings that are problematic with Google. If I run into problems I’ll let you know.
Thanks again!
Marsha
Thanks Stiofan.
I misunderstood — from the way it was worded it sounded like the box needed to be ticked to stop the mouse scroll. Thanks!
Marsha
Oy. Thanks so much Guust.
As you know, I know just enough to be dangerous…
Thanks both of you!

That does make it more clear.
I’m rethinking how I organize my CPTs and their categories to allow for the built-in limitations like this, and still keep it intuitive for the user. I realize I’m probably the oddball GeoDirectory user in this one respect.
Thanks to you and Guust for the patient explanations, as always!
