Quick question, have you previously installed the dummy data, and then removed it?
The media files are managed by WordPress and the files are located in wp-content/uploads

Hi,
what was wrong/not configured:– you didn’t set GD as home page (Geodirectory-Design-Geodirectory home page). This is optional if you want to have a static page you can un-tick this option
– you didnt selected the GD TOP section (Geodirectory-Design-Home top section) in this way you didn’t had the area for the widget in the top section of each page)
– as conseguence, you didn’t have the map for the homepage
– You did not have any category created for places, one (at least) is mandatory
– your place, as consequence, was not set in any category and as result, the map wasn’t displaying anything, just “no records found”
you’re good to go now 🙂

.map-places-listing ul.place-list li a { margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; display: block; width:100%; }not tested, but it should be working

to change the font size add in the style.css (in your child theme)#menu-item-gd-location-switcher dd a { font-size:14px !important }(you can change the font size value of course)
To translate the strings you need to edit the .po file in the geodir-location-manager plugin (in the geodir-location-languages subfolder)
about the centered text in tabs, what tabs do you want to center? The one where it says milano?
